Abstract: An artificial eyelash extension system is described. The system uses a plurality of eyelash filaments. A support strip is attached to the bases of the eyelash filaments. An adhesive element is applied before the artificial eyelash extension system is packaged for sale to a user. A method for applying artificial eyelash extensions is also described.

Abstract: In implementations of systems for management of dry eye syndrome, a palpebral fissure width is determined as a distance between a medial canthus and a lateral canthus of closed eyelids. An ideal eyelash length is generated based on the distance. Prostheses having the ideal eyelash length are attached to candidate eyelashes of an upper eyelid of the closed eyelids. The prostheses introduce a turbulence to airflow around a tear film which prevents the tear film from evaporating. Dry eye syndrome is managed by preventing the tear film from evaporating.

Abstract: An eyelash extension includes an elongated base and a plurality of artificial lashes each attached to the elongated base. The plurality of artificial lashes is arranged in two or more clusters and each cluster includes two or more artificial lashes. The clusters are cinched together at a cinch point, which is spaced from the elongated base.

Abstract: A false eyelash dispensing device is disclosed. In at least one embodiment, a lash belt removably supports at least one lash strip thereon. An elongate housing is sized and configured for receiving the at least one lash belt therewithin. Upon a button being manually depressed after the at least one lash belt is selectively advanced so as to position a lash strip directly in front of an exit opening of the housing, the button is configured for moving opposing first and second halves of an eyelash holder into abutting contact with one another, thereby temporarily sandwiching said lash strip therebetween, and moving the eyelash holder from a retracted position to an extended position, thereby detaching said lash strip from the lash belt and moving said lash strip through the exit opening so that said lash strip may be subsequently applied to the user's eyelid while engaged with the eyelash holder.

Abstract: Eyebrow templates are disclosed in this application. Eyebrow templates of the inventive subject matter can have a top portion, or both a top portion and a bottom portion. In embodiments with only a top portion, a bottom edge includes contours to facilitate makeup application to a user's eyebrows. Templates can be made from stretchy or flexible materials that include an adhesive to stick them to a user's skin. Guide lines can be included to facilitate application of makeup to the bottom edges of a user's eyebrows, and brush stroke guide lines can also be included to help guide a user's brush strokes when applying makeup.

The contoured member may have an inner surface configured to face the at least a portion of the clavicle and an outer surface configured to face away from the at least a portion of the clavicle. The first contact portion may be configured to contact the subject's body above the clavicle. The second contact portion may be configured to contact the subject's body below the clavicle. Each indentation of the first plurality of indentations is designed to house an artificial lash extension of the artificial lash extensions.

Abstract: A device for ensuring safe operation of a robot used for cosmetics applications, including the retrofitting of robots not originally design for such applications. The robot is used for the automatic placement of eyelash extensions onto the natural eyelashes of a subject. In some embodiments, a safety barrier is provided by a physical barrier or light curtain. In the invention, the robot uses an end effector which is configured to extend through the safety barrier and includes a release mechanism configured to readily release from the robot upon contacting the human subject, thereby preventing injury.

Abstract: A multifunctional grooming template and stencil designed to be an all-in-one tool used to assist the user in cutting, trimming, shaping and drawing of the eyebrows, hairline, mustache, sideburns, beard and goatee facial patterns provided on the template. Abstract: A method for applying eyelash extensions includes: transporting an eyelash extension bundle to an eyelash extensions applying auxiliary, the eyelash extensions each having an attaching end, a root and a distal end, the eyelash extensions applying auxiliary having an attaching reference point, a first reference line and a second reference line, the first and second reference lines or imaginary extension lines thereof being joined at the attaching reference point; the attaching ends of the eyelash extensions being located right at the attaching reference point after the transportation; aligning two of the eyelash extensions in the eyelash extension bundle with the first and second reference lines, respectively, with a pair of tweezers; coating the attaching ends of the eyelash extensions with adhesive, and adhering the attaching ends coated with the adhesive to a root of a human eyelash. Thereby, eyelash extension bundles can all have uniform open angles with enhanced applying quality.

An inner grip is shaped to surround the support, and grips the natural eyelashes and the false eyelashes. An outer grip is shaped to surround the inner grip, further grips the natural eyelashes and the false eyelashes that are gripped by the inner grip, and applies heat to the adhesive contained in the false eyelashes. A manipulating portion is slidably coupled to an exterior of the body and moved to sequentially operate the inner grip and the outer grip.

Abstract: A mechanism for positioning an eye lash of a patient includes a lift member and a base member coupled together with a sectioner. The lift member may be attached to a patient above the patient's eye lash line and serves to lift the patient's eye lashes. The sectioner is placed between the eye lashes of the user and the base member is used to secure a position of the sectioner. The sectioner may include adhesive which allows the base member to be secured in a desired location. When the sectioner is positioned and the lift member and base member are in position, selected eye lashes of the patient may be spread out, allowing the patient to receive a fake eye lash or have other work performed with respect to his or her eyelash.

Abstract: An adjustable eyebrow template has at least a first template and a second template. Each of the templates has a cut out that is shaped substantially like an eyebrow. By sliding the second template within at least one slot present on the first template, the shape of the cutout can be modified via overlaying of the templates. The modified eyebrow shape can then be colored, stenciled, etc. If desired, excess hair can then be removed from the eyebrow by a variety of common hair removal techniques. Additionally, there is a method for using the adjustable eyebrow template as to enable an individual to easily create symmetrical eyebrow shapes and colors on a recipient. This method can be performed by a sole individual or with the help of another. An eyebrow template kit may have a number of templates, a coloring agent, and a brush for application of the coloring agent.

A handle connects to a shaped member, such as a metal rod, which comprises a guide portion for abutting against a user's eyelid. Users may apply eyeliner by drawing an eyeliner applicator along a side of the guide portion. The guide portion may optionally end in a wing, allowing users to draw eyeliner “wings”. A nose bridge may be situated between the guide portion and the handle, allowing the apparatus to be positioned across a user's nose. The handle may comprise a smudger with which a user may smudge eyeliner after it has been applied.

Abstract: An applicator for use with an eyelash extension system that has a backbone and a backbone surface configured to be joined with a closure surface. A plurality of eyelash extensions are attached to the backbone. The gauging device is adapted to be placed over a woman's face and maintained in a fixed position relative to her eyes and nose. A nosepiece and knobs are adjusted such that a lower end of a guide rod may be rotated about various points relative to the nose and held in predetermined angles relative to the nose and eyes, possibly supported magnetically on a lower track adjacent the nostrils and an upper track above the eyebrows. Each stencil may be adapted to accommodate not only different eyebrows of different sizes, but also to adjust the eyebrow's ideal Golden Ratio “High Point” to complement facial proportions (preferably represented by a single Facial Ratio Value or “FRV”) that deviate from an ideal Golden Ratio.

The method is directed to fastening a user's eyelashes against the user's face and then painting one layer of eyelashes at a time in a multi-layered approach. Abstract: The subject of the invention is a novel form of mascara in powder form. It comprises at least a first polymer whose melting point is between 35° C. and 70° C., and a second polymer with a melting point of between 80° C. and 150° C. The first polymer may be chosen from vinylpyrrolidone copolymers, and polyalkylene glycols. The second polymer may be chosen from polybutenes, preferably with an average molecular weight of between 300 and 2500 g/mol, and polyvinylpyrrolidones, preferably with an average molecular weight of between 10 000 and 100 000 g/mol. The mascara in powder form is taken up in the desired amount and is then heated before application or at the time of application to the keratin fibers.

Abstract: Described is a method for grouping eyelashes and applying eyelash extensions based on the eyelash groupings. The method includes an act of forming an eyelash group, the eyelash group including a plurality of actual eyelashes that are adhered together to form the eyelash group. An eyelash is separated from the eyelash group using tweezers or another similar item. Thereafter, an eyelash extension is adhered to the eyelash that is separated from the eyelash group, thereby providing a user with an eyelash group and an eyelash extension applied to an actual eyelash. The process can be repeated for any desired amount of remaining ungrouped eyelashes.

Abstract: Eyelash extensions and a method for applying the same are described. The eyelash extensions comprise a first filament having both a proximal end and a distal portion with a distal end. A second and smaller reservoir disk which has a narrower well surface area which prevents the adhesive coming in contact with natural air and atmosphere, therefore eliminating unnecessary waste of adhesive filling, reducing excessive evaporation of the adhesive and resulting in material and quality preservation of adhesive within the reservoir disk. Air flow into the reservoir disk is actually minimized, therefore the reservoir disk will hold the adhesive inside of the disk reservoir without allowing the adhesive to spill out thus promoting safety and eliminating potential safety hazards.
