Abstract: A hair styling device comprises a handle, a heatable elongated member having a longitudinal axis, a distal portion and a proximal portion. The proximal portion of the elongated member is connected to the handle. The device has a hair retention slot at the distal portion of the elongated sized to receive and retain a section of a user's hair. Also described is an attachment for a hair styling device providing such a hair retention slot and a method of using the device and the attachment.

Abstract: The invention relates to a hair styling aid (1), in particular for curling hair, and to a method of styling (curling) hair. The hair styling aid (1) comprises a guide (16) for receiving a length of hair to be styled, and a rotatable element (20). In use, the rotatable element (20) rotates relative to the guide (16), pushing a portion of the hair to one side and winding it around a protrusion (36). The hair styling aid has a housing (6) comprising a front chamber (8) and a rear chamber (10), and the rotatable element (20) is located between the front chamber and the rear chamber.

Abstract: The present invention provides, in at least one embodiment, a customized hair curler with a barrel, and a handle that fits multiple types of barrels, the barrels being detachable and attachable. The handle has a release latch that allows a quick and simple detachment of the barrel from the handle, and a rotation switch for bidirectional rotation of the barrel with respect to the handle. The hair curler also has a heater and a user control interface for precise temperature control of the heater.

Additive originating from the inlet (4) during operation and following the flow paths (7,7′) to each outlet (6) will reach all outlets (6) practically simultaneously, and the additive flow-rate through each outlet is substantially the same.

Abstract: A hair styling system for use with a forced air electric hair dryer constitutes a coupler having a tubular section for receiving the end of an electric hair dryer. This section supports a smaller axially aligned concentric tubular section, with the two sections attached to one another by angularly disposed spacers. Apertures between the spacers permit air to flow over the outside of the smaller tubular section of the coupler. The unattached end of the smaller tubular section extends beyond the larger section and is tapered inwardly toward its central axis. Additional parts of the system include elongated hollow tubular bodies which are closed at one end and open at the other. The open end has an outwardly flared nozzle receiving flange for fitting over the tapered nozzle from the smaller tubular section of the coupler. The tubular bodies have spaced apertures through them at predetermined intervals along their length and about their periphery.
