Abstract: A salon chemical dispensing assembly for storing a selectively dispensing a fluid salon treatment includes a bottle for storing a fluid salon treatment. A pumping unit is removably coupled to the bottle to urge the fluid salon treatment outwardly from the bottle when the pumping unit is turned on. A dispensing nozzle is removably coupled to the pumping unit and the fluid salon treatment in the bottle is pumped into the dispensing nozzle thereby facilitating the dispensing nozzle to dispense the fluid salon treatment. A pick housing is movably coupled to the bottle and a pick is slidably positioned in the pick housing. The pick is positionable in a stored position having the pick being retracted into the pick housing. The pick is positionable in a deployed position having the pick extending outwardly from the pick housing.

Abstract: An apparatus to assist in modifying hair. The apparatus includes a plurality of curlers and a handle configured to removably retain the curlers thereto. The handle includes a portion that has stepped sections. The stepped sections are arranged to retain individual curlers of different dimensions thereto. The handle is releasably joined to a curler, the curler placed where desired and released to stay in place. The handle may then be used to do the same with a different curler of the same or a different size. As a result, a single handle may be used to position a plurality of curlers of the same or differing size where desired. The combination of the handle and the curlers allows a user to place curlers in locations of interest and retain them in place as a replacement for a styling tool.

Abstract: A hair styling system comprising a handle and at least one roller, and a connector for releasably securing the roller to the handle. The connector includes a sleeve slidably mounted on the handle and a compression spring for urging the sleeve axially outwardly whereby a trio of locking balls are biased radially outwardly into mating notches formed in an orifice at one end of the roller to prevent axial separation and rotation of the roller on the handle. Retraction of the sleeve on the handle releases the trio of balls from the notches for separation of the roller from the handle. The rollers are provided in a plurality of sizes and shapes and preferably are coated or formed from a ceramic ionic material.

Abstract: A hair roller set configured to facilitate securing hair in a curled position during hair curling comprising a plurality of hair rollers positioned in a substantially parallel relation and nested together such that each of the plurality of hair rollers is directly enclosed by no more than one other hair roller and directly encloses no more than one other hair roller, wherein the plurality of hair rollers each include a flexible cylindrical body that is substantially separated lengthwise along one side of the flexible cylindrical body, thereby forming a pair of interior faces, wherein the cylindrical body does not include any articulation devices configured to facilitate widening the flexible cylindrical body. The interior faces include mating devices configured to selectably couple the interior faces together. The hair roller set also includes a flocculent layer coupled about the flexible cylindrical body by adhesive.

Abstract: Disclosed are a cumulative hair-dyeing temporary hairdye comprising 0.01 to 3% by weight of an acid dye as a colorant, 0.1 to 10% by weight of a nonionic or anionic silicone base resin, 3 to 20% by weight of a hair-dyeing aid, 30 to 80% by weight of a lower alcohol and 5 to 50% by-weight of water and having a pH of 2 to 5 and a viscosity of 100 mPa·s or less and a production process for a cumulative hair-dyeing temporary hairdye, wherein the respective components are blended in such an order that at least a nonionic or anionic silicone base resin and a lower alcohol are mixed to prepare a vehicle, and then the other components are blended therewith and stirred.

Abstract: This invention relates to a hair braider and its auxiliary device, which are portable and braids three bunches of hair into a strand. The hair braider has a substantially figure ‘8’-configured cam track allowing three carriers to move along the cam track for a ‘8’ track motion. Three carriers combined detachably with three grabbing members accommodating three bunches of hair therein travels along the cam track as a couple of rotors rotate in opposite direction. While three hair grabbing member held on the holders of the carriers conduct the figure ‘8’ motion, three bunches of hair in three hair grabbing members are braided into one strand.

Abstract: An adjustable hair roller having a body and an adjustment mechanism is disclosed. The body includes an outer surface that engages with strands of hair, and an inner surface defining an area within which is disposed the adjustment mechanism. The adjustment mechanism may include a first portion and a second portion, located on a first half and second half of the inner surface of the body, respectively. The first and second portions engage with one another, thereby changing a profile of the body of the roller from a first shape to a second shape.

Abstract: A variety of longitudinally adjustable permanent wave rods are disclosed. Each permanent wave rod has an outer rod into which an inner rod fits. In one embodiment, an adjustable permanent wave rod has a number of sockets into which retainers fit. Alternatively, clips may be used to firmly hold hair between the clips and the inner and outer rods of the permanent wave rods. Preferably, the wave rods contain a distribution mechanism that distributes permanent solution towards the inside surface of the wave rods and also slows the solution down. Most preferably, the inner rod has a tapered surface along a substantial portion of its length and the outer rod has a tapered surface near the inner rod. Additionally, when the inner rod is tapered, a retractable ring is used that has extension couplings on it.

Abstract: A self holding hair curler apparatus includes a first structure that has an interior threaded portion at a first end and an exterior surface area with a plurality of flexible spike-like projections. Included is a second structure that has an interior tube with an end cap at one end and is integral with the second structure at one end. The second structure has an inner surface and a chamber formed between the inner surface and the interior tube. The second structure has a plurality of rigid spike-like projections with adjacent slots along an outer surface thereof. Lastly, the second structure is capable of receiving the first structure within the chamber, while the flexible spike-like projections extend through the slots for movement to pinch strands of hair positioned about the second structure.

Abstract: A hair roller apparatus includes a roller member having a roller stem, a roller pad mounted thereabout, and an oblong end flange and a circular end flange at opposing ends of the roller stem. The apparatus also includes a cap member having U-shaped cap body with a short end wall at a first end and a second end wall at a second end. Stem engaging recesses are provided in each of the end walls. Holes are formed in each of the oblong end flange of the roller member and the long end wall of the cap member so that a pin member can be inserted therethrough to secure the cap member against rotation relative to the roller member. A flexible protective sheet is also provided, and includes a slit for feeding hair therethrough. Mutually engageable hook and loop type fastening strips are provided on the outer surface of the cap body and on the flexible protective sheet so that the flexible protective sheet can be securely engaged to the cap body.

Abstract: A combination hairbrush and hair curling system with a bendable, extendable handle and a removable brush head. The handle is constructed so that it can be bent to various positions and it will maintain the desired position until the user wishes to change the position. The extendable and bendable handle makes it easier to style the hair on difficult to reach areas of the head. The detachable brush heads are made in different sizes, shapes and styles for different kinds of hair styling operations. The brush heads are supplied in a variety of shapes, including cylindrical, concave/convex curved, flat/convex, flat/concave, ball-shaped and egg-shaped. The detachable brush heads can be detached from the handle ,and left in the hair as hair curlers. Each style of brush head can also be provided with gripping elements that are shaped like the hook portion of a hook and loop fastener and/or with bristles covering the entire brash head.

Abstract: The invention relates to hair rollers and provides for the use of a cylindrical tube rolled from a rectangular perforated sheet of flexible material, the sheet having an outer edge which overlaps a portion of the tube. The tube has a pair of opposing transverse edges, each of which is engaged within a spiral groove formed in opposing caps. The caps are rotationally mounted on an elongated shaft, such that rotation of the disks causes advancement of the transverse edges within the sprial groove, changing the diameter of the outer tube, as desired. An indicia on the outer surface of one or two caps allows to select the diameter of the tube when rotating the caps. The shaft has slotted projections on opposing ends with one or both of which an elongated resilient band is engaged.
