Abstract: An improved hair clip employs a pair of cooperating main members that are pivotally connected and biased into a hair engaging orientation. Each of the main members is contoured and includes a first end spaced apart from a second end by a middle portion. The first end of each main member acts as an articulation tab that allows an individual to apply leverage necessary to place the clip in a hair engaging orientation. A mirror is removably attached to the first end of the first main member, and a cosmetics case is removably attached to the first end of the second main member. Attachment sleeves are removably attached to the main member middle portions. Each storage sleeve may be capped for storage of loose items or may accept one of several interchangeable accessory tubes. An included alarm assembly advantageously indicates unwanted attempts to remove the device.

Abstract: A hair grip has two elongate one-piece jaws connected by a spring-loaded hinge and delimited by two respective first longitudinal edges, two respective other longitudinal edges. The respective other longitudinal edges each carry spaced curved penetrating teeth extending the jaw on the side opposite the first edges and concave sides of which face toward the teeth of the other jaw to penetrate the hair. These pluralities of penetrating teeth conjointly form a longitudinal succession of pairs of teeth of each respective plurality of teeth. The longitudinal succession of pairs of teeth includes at least one pair of bearing teeth whose end areas are disposed and oriented to rest on or slightly below the surface of the hair, and at least one pair of penetrating teeth offset from each other along said other longitudinal edges of the jaws and which can cross over to penetrate in the hair.

The grooming device can be moved between a position between the jaws of the hair clip and a position exterior of the hair clip and projecting outwardly from the jaws.

The spring (30) can also act as a setting for a stone (36) by simply inserting the stone between its turns.

The shape is formed such that the two ends of the flat strip join when in a closed position. The ends of the flat strip have teeth such that the two ends of the flat strip mate when the barrette is in a closed position. The interior of the barrette is provided with a row of teeth in order to grip the hair and prevent it from slipping through the barrette.

Abstract: A hair accessory device including a claw-type hair clip having claw elements hinged for opening and closing movements about an axis and carrying one or more elongated strip sections of artificial hair. Each of two claw elements has an upper panel portion adjacent to the hinge axis and from which extend a plurality of spaced apart tines, configured such that the tines of one claw element are received in the spaces between tines of the other element, when the clip is closed. A flexible bridging element extends from one upper panel portion to the other, close to but below the hinge axis. One or more elongated strip sections of artificial hair, having selvage margins at one end of strip section, are secured by such margins to the bottom surface of the flexible bridging element.

A first finger grip structure is communicative with a first jaw portion and a first surface of a common tongue portion. The second jaw portion is aligned with the first jaw portion and located thereunder. The first and second jaw portions pivotally connect the tongue portion and a pair of torsion springs urge the first and second jaw portions toward the tongue portion.

Abstract: A clip assembly for securing a head cover, such as a skullcap, to the head of the wearer, comprises a spring loaded hairclip having a segment of Velcro.RTM. closure permanently affixed to one arm of the hairclip. The opposite side of the closure is coated with an adhesive covered by peelable release paper. In use, one or more of the clip assemblies are adhesively attached to the inner surface of the head covering within its outer periphery, so as not to be visible when the head covering is worn. When the head covering is placed on the head, the clips are opened, the free arm of the clip inserted into the hair of the wearer and then released to grasp the hair. The clip may be separated from the head covering at the Velcro.RTM. closure to be available for use on the other head coverings.

Each engaging piece includes a device for rotatably pivotally holding the protruded members of the mounting seat of the first body. The elastic member has a first end retained in the first retaining groove and a second end retained in the second retaining groove.

The combs each includes two pins rotatably engaged in the sleeves for pivotally coupling the combs to the plates.

At least some of the teeth are relatively narrow in the vicinity of their base and can have a maximal width in the central area of the tooth and be relatively narrow in the vicinity of the free end of the tooth. The rear portions of the jaw pieces are joined by a transversely disposed pivot pin which permits relative motion of the upper and lower jaw pieces in a vertical plane. A coil spring encircling the pivot pin urges apart the rear portions of the upper and lower jaw pieces, thereby urging the front arcuately downwardly curved portions of the jaw pieces into compressive clamping contact. Preferably, the front portion of the lower jaw piece is shorter and more curved than the front portion of the upper jaw piece, and is received in a longitudinally disposed channel formed in the lower surface of upper jaw piece.

Firstly, two bodies interconnected by a connecting plate are integrally formed, wherein each body includes two lugs with aligned holes and a plurality of bristle elements formed thereon, and wherein each of two ends of the connecting plate is connected to an associated body by a first bendable section. The connecting plate further includes a second bendable section formed on a mediate section thereof. Then, two legs of an elastic member are attached to two protrusions of the connecting plate to temporarily position the elastic member. Next, the bodies are bent along the first bendable sections to align the holes of the lugs with a coil portion of the elastic member. A pivotal pin is then extended through the aligned holes of the lugs and the coil portion of the elastic member. Next, the legs of the elastic member are disengaged from the protrusions.

The inventive device includes an elongated member having a first surface and a second surface, a clip attached to the first surface for securing the elongated member to the hair, and an arcuate fastener attached to the support member for releasably securing a bow to the second surface. The bow can be replaced with a different bow by releasing the arcuate fastener, removing the bow, and inserting the new bow between the fastener and the second surface. The fastener is then reattached so as to secure the new bow.

The attachment device includes a pair of lateral operating lugs projecting from the main body and each including a locking arm with a hook. The locking arms face towards each other and overlap partially. To enhance the opening of this type of attachment device an operating arm is provided to the rear of the attachment device. This operating arm extends from the rear edge of one lateral operating lug and towards the other lateral operating lug. The locking arms have either inclined or convexly rounded surfaces forming expulsion ramps.

A clamp is connected to the flexible wall portion of the sheath and is capable of holding the strands of hair to prevent relative movement between the flexible wall portion of the sheath and the strands of hair. The sheath itself is drawn around the strands of hair by a drawstring formed in the sheath flexible wall portion.

Abstract: A device for covering the end of a hair braid, having a hollow sleeve, open at its upper end and closed at its lower end, and having a W-shaped insert, which may be used to secure the end of the hair braid by wrapping the braid end around the lower middle portion of the W, and having rounded projections at the upper sides of the W, which spring into longitudinally oriented retaining slots in the upper sides of the sleeve, when the insert is inserted sufficiently into the sleeve. The insert is slightly oversized in comparison to the interior width of the sleeve, and is made of a material having sufficient elasticity to be insertable within the sleeve, and to cause the projections to snap into the retaining slots of the sleeve, when the insert is sufficiently inserted.

The comb is initially folded against the clip plate via a cooperated action between the symmetrical short pins and the comb pivot seats so as to allow the combined foldable hair clip and comb to be used as a hair clip.
