Abstract: A decorative headband hair accessory having a flexible band with clips at each end of the band, or alternatively at intervals along the length of the band, which hold the headband hair accessory comfortably, securely, and fashionably in the desired position on the wearer's head. The clips attach the headband hair accessory to the wearer's hair without poking, pressing or squeezing the wearer's head, holding the decorative headband hair accessory securely in its desired position on the wearer's head without causing pain or discomfort. The clips have two discrete positions: an open position, so hair may pass into the open clip, and a closed position, which secures the hair into the headband hair accessory, securing the hair accessory.

Abstract: The present invention is a hair accessory having a special coil design. The hair accessory comprising a substantially circular shaped member having a plurality of coiled coil structures, each of the plurality of coiled coil structures is arranged in a way to form a closed helical loop. When the coiled coil structure is twisted and folded for holding the hair, its special structure permits it to lock with itself so that the hair accessory remains in hair even if strenuous movement is performed by the wearer. The hardness of the material results in less friction with the hair thereby allowing easy gliding during pull out of hair. The twists around the hair act as anchors thereby not allowing the hair accessory to dislodge. The constant use of the hair accessory may tend to loose its shape and it can regain its shape by placing the hair accessory in boiling water.

Abstract: A headband that includes a connecting material and a headband body connected to each other at their respective opposing ends. The headband body has an inner and outer edge, which may be curved. The distance between the inner and outer edge generally becomes shorter nearer the ends of the headband body. If curved, the inner and outer edges may have different radii, such that the tube is generally crescent shaped. The general crescent shape creates a more comfortable fit and results from the ratio of the radius of the inner edge curve to the radius of the outer edge curve being greater than about 1 and less than about 6. A more comfortable fit can also result from a particular ratio wherein the width at the center of the headband body is greater than the width at the ends of the headband body.
