Abstract: A hair retaining device comprising a rod with two elongate helical coils surrounding a portion of the rod. The coils are attached only at one end of the rod and are offset from one another by 180 degrees. In use, the end of the rod is slid through a desired hair style using a weaving motion to pick up small portions of the hair. Once the rod is in place, it is screwed into a user's hair and the hair strands are retained. To remove the device, the rod is unscrewed to loosen from the hair strands and the rod is then pulled out of user's hair.
Abstract: A hair decorating system that includes a string covered in wax in a first configuration, coiled around an interior segment in a second configuration where end segments are attached, and a third configuration where the coil has been extended to form a crisscrossed pattern around a strand of hair. The crisscrossed pattern is both attractive and decorative.
Abstract: An hair ornament includes a hairpin, which has an eyelet and two spiral spring wires extended from the eyelet and spirally intersected with each other, an ornament, and a connector, which has a front end fastened to the eyelet of the hairpin and a rear end pivotally connected to the ornament for enabling the hairpin to be biased relative to the ornament between an open position for insertion through the hair of a user and a close position to secure the ornament to the hair of the user.
Abstract: A hairpin including a base plate, and a pin, wherein the base plate has a first row of longitudinally spaced pin holes and a second row of longitudinally spaced pin holes at two opposite ends, a first row of longitudinally spaced harness loops and a second row of longitudinally spaced harness loops alternatively arranged between the first row of longitudinally spaced pin holes and the second row of longitudinally spaced pin holes. In one embodiment, the pin has one rod section inserted through the first row of longitudinally spaced pin holes and second row of longitudinally spaced pin holes and one row of the first row of longitudinally spaced harness loops and second row of longitudinally spaced harness loops. In another embodiment, the pin has two parallel rod sections with one rod section inserted through the first row of longitudinally spaced harness loops and the other rod section through the second row of longitudinally spaced harness loops.
Abstract: A hair retaining device comprises two co-acting virtually identical circular helical coils. Pockets are defined between the coils. In use, the device is screwed into a user's hair and the hair strands are captively retained in the pockets. The two coils preferably are joined at one common end. The coils are wound on the same hand and are coaxial with each other to form the pockets therebetween. The other ends of the two coils are free and spaced apart.
