Abstract: A compact case has a circular bottom cosmetic holding compartment consisting of a tray having a series of pre-shaped depressed segments, and an upper cover that has an opening corresponding to the pre-shape of the depressed segments. The upper cover is rotatable in relationship to the bottom cosmetic holding compartment so that it may be rotated to permit access to individual cosmetics held in the depressed segments as desired. A pull out tray is included in the bottom compartment for holding cosmetic components.

Abstract: A pendent defines a generally heart-shaped housing having an interior cavity formed therein and an internal heart-shaped aperture at its center. A planar support base is formed at the lower portion of the heart-shaped housing while an upwardly extending cylindrical neck portion is formed in the upper portion of the heart-shaped housing. A cap includes a cylindrical stopper receivable within the housing neck to provide closure of the interior cavity thereof. The heart-shaped housing interior cavity is divided by an interior wall into a closed sealed cavity portion which receives and supports a liquid and glitter particle combination. The remaining portion of the housing interior cavity is accessible through the neck portion to provide a refillable reservoir for liquids such as cologne, perfume or the like. A heart-shaped compact having mating half portions is receivable within the heart-shaped interior aperture of the housing and is securable to the pendent by a tight fit therebetween.

Abstract: A container module with interchangeable trays, in particular, but not exclusively, for suitable cases for containing cosmetic products, comprises a container (11) provided with a plurality of polygonal seats (13) suitable for housing corresponding modular trays (14, 15), with, between said seats (13) and said trays (14, 15) retainer means for freely disengageable fastening are provided.

Abstract: The cosmetic case for receiving and holding at least one insert comprising a snap-in locking mechanism between the case housing and each insert, said snap-in locking mechanism comprising at least one recess in the inside of the case housing and projections on the outside of the insert or vice versa; the projections and the recesses can be engaged with one another. Furthermore, the snap-in locking mechanism comprises at least one elastic element to preload the projections into the opposing recesses. The elastic element may be formed by leaf springs. This cosmetic case is simple and inexpensive to produce and allows a film and releasable connection between the case and the insert even after repeated removal of the inserts.

Abstract: A cover is pivotably attached to a case body. Male thread portions of a multiple thread and unthreaded portions are alternately formed on a peripheral wall of a cosmetic container section of the case body. A ring is rotatably attached to the cover and externally fitted to the peripheral wall. The ring has female thread portions of a multiple thread intermittently formed. The female and male thread portions are engageable and disengageable. An inner cover made of an elastic material is attached to the lower portion of the cover so that the inner cover is brought into press contact with an open edge of the peripheral wall. A space is formed between the cover and the inner cover so that the inner cover is elastically deformed and expanded. When the female and the male thread portions are engaged with each other and the ring is rotated to a closed position, the cover approaches the case body so that the inner cover is brought into press contact with the open edge of the peripheral wall.

The compact may be closed to contain and protect the applicator and cosmetic from the ambient and the compact may be easily opened to permit the applicator to be readily used to apply the cosmetic to a person.

Abstract: A kit includes a carrying case that has a powder absorbing mat fixed to an inner surface thereof. A plurality of foot-care accessories are also stored in the kit. The foot-care accessories include a flexible bag that is formed of material that will store medicated powder yet will dispense that powder on contact with a user's foot. The flexible bag is interdigitated between the user's toes and is attached to the foot. A user places his or her foot on either the mat or the flexible bag, scrapes or brushes the foot, and dusts the medicated powder onto the foot. Any powder that falls off is stored in the bag or the mat for application to the bottom of the user's foot. The bag is then applied to the foot if desired.

Abstract: A cosmetics compact having a shell-shaped housing lower part and a lid coupled by way of a hinge, and a presser. The technical problem is to facilitate opening of the lid after unlocking. A pre-tensionable element which bears against the lid and pre-tensions the latter in the direction of opening is arranged on the housing lower part or on an insert thereof, spaced from the hinge axis.

Abstract: The invention relates to a compact of the type comprising a base (1) and a cover (2) articulated to each other by a hinge (3), catch (10, 11) of the base (1) relative to the cover (2) opposite the hinge (3), and an interchangeable pan (4) containing at least one makeup product (5) and disposed in the base (1). The compact according to the invention is open over a portion of its front surface opposite the hinge (3), and the pan (4) comprises a portion (8), of a different shape for a compact of predetermined type relative to a compact of another type, comprising a projection outside the compact through the opening of the forward surface of the compact.

Abstract: A replicating process and replicated element for simulating the color and texture of powdery substances such as cosmetics is provided. A pigment is mixed with a color match vehicle and placed on embossed paper by silk screening to reproduce a colored textured surface similar to the actual product. The replicated element is then placed on a display panel or an actual container in which the product is sold for display purposes.

Abstract: A make-up kit is composed of plural storage and functional components which may be alternatively and detachably assembled together through cooperating male and female slip joints to adapt the kit to the personal needs of the user.

Abstract: A makeup compact base has a frame or insert secured thereto. The frame features flexible downward wings having retaining ribs across the lower ends thereof. A cosmetic tray may have a top flange adapted to sit in the frame, and complimenting grooves on the outside of the tray snappingly receive the ribs so that normally the tray is held snugly down inside the frame. The compact cover is hinged and is shaped in a portion adjacent the hinge so that when the compact is forced open beyond its normal open position said portion forces the tray up out of its frame to make it available for replacement.

Abstract: A travel compact for housing a cosmetic supply and a mirror, both of which in a storage mode of the compact are encased therein, the supply and the mirror being both exposed in a utility mode whereby the user may then view her face as she applies the cosmetic thereto. The compact includes a small rectangular case having an open front end and a top wall whose front section has an open window therein. Slidable in the case through its open end is a drawer whose top wall includes in its rear section a shallow well having a mirror nested therein, a front section on which is printed identifying indicia and a deeper well intermediate the front and rear sections in which a cosmetic supply is stored. In the storage mode, the drawer is pushed fully within the case, the window in the case being then closed by the front section of the drawer to expose the indicia through the window. In the utility mode, the drawer is pulled out to an extent exposing the cosmetic supply and aligning the mirror with the window.

Abstract: A cosmetic compact case includes an elongated body which is provided with a plurality of cosmetic-containing receptacles on an exterior surface thereof. Access to the cosmetic material contained in the receptacles is controlled by a cover which is slideably mounted on the body of the compact case.

Abstract: A compact case has a lid which forms a joint with an associated base when the lid is in its closed position relative to the base. A magnetic sealing mechanism positively seals substantially the entire length of the joint. The magnetic sealing mechanism can also function to releasably and moveably secure cosmetic product containers and cosmetic implements and accessories to the compact case.

Abstract: A pressed powder cosmetic product is disclosed. The product, useful as an eyeshadow, a blusher and the like, comprises a cream pressed powder composition and a frost pressed powder composition disposed adjacent to each other in the same pan. This unique arrangement is made possible by inclusion of surfactant coated fillers, surfactant coated colorants and a two component powder binder constituent.

Abstract: A facial compact has a storage space which can carry not only cosmetics but also cosmetic related articles or unrelated articles. The facial compact includes a receptacle member having space for accommodating cosmetic material, a cover member connected to the receptacle member at respective rear ends thereof, a recess formed in a lower surface of the cover member and defining therein a storage space, and a plate member movably provided at a lower portion of the cover member and capable of covering the storage space. The cosmetic related articles or the unrelated articles are stored in the storage space by closing the plate member in such a way such that the articles are not visible and may be removed from the storage space by opening the plate member.

Abstract: Disclosed is a spherical vanity case, which is formed of an upper cover, an intermediate unit and a bottom unit. The upper cover has a mirror pivoted thereto to define with the intermediate unit a receiving space for keeping small toiletries. The intermediate unit has a center hole into which a hollow shaft upstanding from the bottom unit is fastened, a plurality of compartments on its top surface for holding dusting powder and rouge cake, and a plurality of bottom slots radially arranged around a circle respectively for receiving a powder make-up case each. Each powder make-up case has a bottom projection respectively movably fastened in a corresponding groove on the top surface of the bottom unit such that relative rotation of the intermediate unit against the bottom unit drives the powder make-up cases to slide in or out of the bottom slots. The hollow shaft of the bottom unit defines therein a space for carrying a lipstick.

Abstract: A make-up case comprising in the inside thereof a plurality of cosmetics pans, wherein the bottom of each pan is provided with a magnet and the inner bottom of the case is provided with a magnetic material, or vice versa, the magnetic material being attracted to the magnet, whereby the plurality of cosmetics pans are removably arranged in the inside of the case.

Abstract: A vanity case includes a receptacle, a cover hinged to the receptacle at the rear end thereof, a first latch tongue formed on the receptacle, and a second latch tongue formed on the cover to engage with the first latch tongue for maintaining the cover in a closed position with respect to the receptacle. A release member is disposed between the periphery of the receptacle and the periphery of the cover and includes an inner part and an outer part which is positioned at a level higher than the inner part and connected therewith by a step. The inner part is adjacent the lower surface of the cover while the outer part is spaced from the upper surface of the receptacle when the cover is in the closed position. A hole is formed in one of the release member and the receptacle, and leg is formed on the other and is fitted in the hole to thereby attach the release member to the upper surface of the receptacle in such a manner that the release member is swingable relative to the receptacle.

Abstract: A cosmetic compact comprising a receptacle and a cover attached to the receptacle by a hinge member for closing same. The inner space defined by the receptacle and the cover is so arranged to receive vanity cases, stick-like a mirror and especially a perfume sprayer with an operation means and a nozzle outlet exposed through a window formed in a bottom wall of the receptacle or a top wall of the cover. The perfume sprayer can be operated to spray perfume without opening the cover of the cosmetic compact.

Abstract: A contact lens carrying case contains two separate sections, each having a pair of lens compartments with screw-on tops, for independently disinfecting and rinsing a pair of contact lenses. The case contains a closable lid with a mirror located therein, and a timer with an alarm for timing the disinfecting and rinsing cycles. Each separate section is removable for cleaning. The case is usable for any contact lens, but is adapted for an AODISC.RTM. catalyst used in SEPTICON.RTM. AND AOSEPT.RTM. systems for soft contact lenses.

Abstract: A box of molded plastic material for packaging or storage of various objects has a box body of polygonal cross-section which may be square, for example, and a closure lid. The different sides of the box are provided with complementary male and female guides of dovetail shape, for example. The guides of one of the two series have a stop at one end. The arrangement is such that a variable number of boxes of this type can be assembled side by side so as to constitute a single-unit assembly. The boxes can be employed for individual packaging of various objects or products such as make-up products, for example.

Abstract: A container for powder, cosmetics and other materials has a base member having an interior wall defining a sized and shaped storage tray receptacle, a closure member pivotally connected to the base member is movable from open to closed position and vice versa. A sized and shaped storage tray is disposed to fit into the storage tray receptacle in the base member, and at least one retainer assembly formed on the storage tray and wall means of the base member including, a manually operable yieldable section to enable the storage tray to be removable fixed in assembled position in the base member. The container as above described including spaced compartments in the storage tray for powder, cosmetics and other materials and an applicator for use therewith.

Abstract: There is disclosed a holder for a stick-type cosmetic case which has an end portion of which the transverse outer size is smaller than that of the other portion of the cosmetic case. The holder includes: a holder body; a cover member; and a slanting surface. The holder body includes bottom and a peripheral walls defining a hollow for receiving the cosmetic case. The peripheral wall includes front and rear portions. The cover member is pivotally connected to the rear portion of the peripheral wall so as to open and close the hollow. The slanting surface extends between the bottom wall and the rear portion of the peripheral wall. The slanting surface inclines in such a manner that its rear edge is positioned at a higher level than its front edge. The distance between the front edge of the slanting surface and the front portion of the peripheral wall is less than the length of the cosmetic case and not less than the length of the other portion of the cosmetic case.

Abstract: A compact case includes a top cover, a bottom support tray, and an intermediate lid positioned between the top cover and support tray, all being hinged together for relative movement with respect to one another, the support tray including a matrix configuration of ribs defining areas to accept the cosmetic inserts while the lid defines openings corresponding to the matrix configuration. The cosmetic inserts contain cosmetic materials and are removably positioned in selected ones of the areas. The openings in the lid register with the cosmetic inserts in the compact case.
