Abstract: A lighting device, comprising a funnel-shaped reflector including a plurality of first rods, a flexible material attached to the plurality of first rods, and a plurality of first connectors, wherein each of the plurality of first connectors is attached to the reflector at a position adjacent to one of the plurality of first rods; and a supporting structure configured to support at least one light source and including at least one socket, and a plurality of second rods, wherein each of the plurality of second rods has a first end attached to the at least one socket; and wherein a second end of each of the plurality of second rods is releasably connected to one of the first connectors, so that the connection position of the second end of each of the plurality of second rods and the correspondingly connected first connectors is adjustable.

Abstract: A tip assembly of an umbrella is revealed. The tip assembly includes a tip rod detachably disposed on a distal end of an outer cylindrical rib of a rib and a protection piece arranged at a distal end of the tip rod. The tip rod is provided with a mounting hole for mounting the distal end of the outer cylindrical rib therein. The protection piece includes a curved outer surface and an inner surface opposite to the outer surface. The outer surface is abutting against respective support ends of a canopy, without exposed outside the canopy. The distal end of the tip rod is located at the inner surface of the protection piece to be protected thereon. Thereby the tip assembly will not have a sharp end or expose outside the canopy while the canopy is extended by the plurality of ribs.

Abstract: An umbrella repair assembly for reattaching a canopy of an umbrella to a rib of the umbrella includes a first shell that has a first slot integrated therein to accommodate a rib of an umbrella. A second shell is hingedly coupled to the first shell and the second shell is positionable in a closed position having the second shell abutting the first shell. The second shell has a second slot is integrated therein to accommodate the rib of an umbrella when the second shell is closed. In this way a canopy of the umbrella is compressed between the first shell and the second shell for reattaching the canopy to the rib.

Abstract: A canopy tension system for an umbrella. The umbrella comprises a frame having a pole with a rib assembly at one end, the rib assembly comprising a plurality of ribs an end cap assembly attached to a distal end of each rib, the end cap assembly including a channel with an adjustable depth for receiving the rib; and a canopy attached to the end cap assembly of each rib of the frame. The end cap assemblies are adapted to modify the tension of the canopy to prevent excessive or insufficient tension when the canopy is mounted by adjusting the depth of one or more channels before the distal end of the rib is inserted.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an umbrella and a method for manufacturing the umbrella, and, the umbrella includes an umbrella frame, an umbrella cloth, and a plurality of positioning fasteners, the umbrella frame defines a plurality of installing portions matching to the positioning fasteners; the umbrella cloth define a plurality of avoiding holes corresponding to the installing portions; the positioning fastener includes a head part and a rod part, the rod parts of the positioning fasteners pass through the avoiding holes, to fasten with the installing portions, the umbrella cloth is clamped between the head parts of the positioning fasteners and the umbrella frame, to fix the umbrella cloth on the umbrella frame. The technical proposal of the present disclosure can improve the production efficiency of the umbrella.

Abstract: An umbrella is provided with a frame including a shank, a handle at a lower end of the shank, a grommet at an upper end of the shank, a runner slidably disposed on the shank between the handle and the grommet, ribs radially extending from the grommet, and stretchers having two ends pivotably secured to the runner and an intermediate portion of the rib respectively; and a canopy assembly including a canopy secured in covering relation on the ribs, protection members each secured to an edge portion of an inner surface of the canopy adjacent to a tip of each rib, and rib tip protection elements each secured to both the protection member and the inner surface of the canopy. Each rib has an end releasably inserted into the rib tip protection element.

Abstract: A wind resistant umbrella includes an upper canopy that is attached to a lower canopy at select points. Elastic fasteners (e.g., elastic straps) elastically connect the upper canopy to the lower canopy. Flexible connectors that wrap around a peripheral edge of the lower canopy serve to both fixedly attach first ends of the elastic fasteners and provide pockets that receive free ends of the ribs to securely attach the ribs to the lower canopy.

A spring clip in an inverted V-shaped configuration has outwardly extending projections removably coupling together the upper pole and the lower pole. A handle is removably coupled to the lower pole to twist the lower pole. Each rib of a plurality of ribs has an interior end and an exterior end. The interior ends of the ribs are coupled to the upper pole. The fabric overlies the ribs. Each tip of a plurality of tips has an upper part and a lower part. Each upper part has a tubular recess receiving the exterior end of an associated rib. The periphery of the fabric is secured between the upper part and the lower part.

Abstract: A portable and foldable shelter has a canopy frame with an arm hub adjacent to a top end of a canopy pole, and a sliding collar on the pole. The canopy frame also includes a plurality of arms with each arm having an outer arm segment attached to an inner arm segment via an arm hinge joint. The arm hinge joint may include a slider movable into a locking position where the inner and outer arm segments are rigidly fixed in a straight locked-out. A flexible cover is attached to or supported on canopy frame. The portable shelter is lightweight, highly compact when folded, easy to use, and easy carry.

Abstract: An umbrella (1) in which the canopy is supported, tensioned and retained on a frame without any external points. The ends of conventional ribs (6,7) are provided with force spreading components (8) which are located within pockets (9) at the periphery of the umbrella canopy (3). As the umbrella is erected, the force spreading components open to provide a surface which pushes outwardly against a bearing surface formed between a pocket and the canopy, which “spread” outwards. The spreading of the components (8) is initiated by the radially outward movement of slidable tubes (7) upon inner rods (6) attached at their inner ends to the shaft (2) of the umbrella. Inner rods (6) and outer tubes (7) together form the ribs or spokes of the umbrella which are supported and raised/lowered by primary struts (11) connected between the ribs and a primary shaft slider (12).

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for an umbrella undercanopy fastening system including a plurality of reclosable fasteners. One embodiment of the present invention relates to a fastening system comprising a first and second member. The first member has a first portion of a fastening device. The second member has a second portion of the fastening device adapted to engage the first portion of the fastening device in a reclosable manner. The reclosable fasteners may be used, fore example, for securing a lighting system to an undercanopy of an umbrella.

Abstract: A catch-free umbrella includes: a central shaft, a rib assembly pivotally secured to the shaft and an umbrella cloth secured on the rib assembly; with the rib assembly having a plurality of top ribs pivotally secured between an upper notch formed on the shaft and a plurality of stretcher ribs pivotally inclinedly secured to a runner slidably held on the shaft; and the top ribs radially arcuately bent to form a lotus-shape arrangement when opening the umbrella to form an upward force fraction acting on the runner for lifting the runner and the rib assembly without gravitational descending; whereby upon closing of the umbrella by initially lowering the runner, the top ribs of lotus-shape arrangement will serve as closing springs for closing the umbrella automatically.

Abstract: This invention discloses a connecting structure of an umbrella tip, which has an axial hole for receiving a tail rib. The tip has provided with a side engaging groove and the tail rib has provided with an elastic outward extended folded slice at its end side. While the tail rib inserts into the axial hole of the tip, the folded slice being firmly engaged with the engaging groove automatically. The manufacturing and the assembling of the tip and the tail rib are easy and convenient that obtains improved effect.

Users can change various shapes and colors of canopies, tip beads, handles, and ferrules to assemble new umbrellas through simple lock and insertion operation.

Abstract: A windproof umbrella comprises a main umbrella including a plurality of ribs, a lower canopy having a plurality of substantially trapezoidal sectors, and a center vent hole; and an upper umbrella including a plurality of rigid ribs, and an upper canopy having a plurality of sectors, wherein each rib of the upper umbrella is integral with each rib of the main umbrella by means of a connection of a securing device for forming a gap between a corner of two adjacent sectors of the upper canopy and a corner of two corresponding adjacent sectors of the lower canopy, and the upper canopy is in covering relation to and capable of elastically separating from the main umbrella for exhausting the air from the space between the lower canopy and the upper canopy.
