Abstract: Disclosed herein is a floating ball filling-control device for a cryogenic tank with enhanced structural stability. The floating ball filling-control device comprises a liquid feeding pipe (2) with a liquid discharging end disposed in the liquid storage tank (1), the liquid feeding pipe (2) having liquid spraying holes (3) located on the pipe wall at the top of the pipe, and a slide valve (4) arranged on the top end of the liquid feeding pipe, wherein the slide valve is in a sliding fit with the liquid feeding pipe in a vertical direction via a floating ball lever driving mechanism, and forms an open/close mechanism for the liquid spraying holes via a control mechanism.
Abstract: A bladder system and apparatus for use with a beverage barrel or container, to reduce undesirable head-space in a wooden container of a beverage, especially a fermented beverage, such as wine. The system continuously protects the beverage contained in a wooden barrel from the harmful effects of oxidation at the air-to-fluid interface in the head-space and compensates for ullage, attributable to evaporation, leakage or sampling losses. The system includes an inflation stem connected to a barrel bladder inflatable by filling with an inflation gas. The inflation stem includes a liquid level sensor and inserts into a bung opening. The fluid level is sensed and a gas valve opens to fill the bladder, reducing head-space within the barrel. The system can combine the control of several barrels and optionally with other sensors, to create a barrel monitoring and control network.
Abstract: A sealing arrangement in which a sealing member 25 seals against an annular sealing surface 20. The sealing member 25 has an annular sealing surface 29 the axis of which is offset relative to the rotational axis of the surface 20. Thus when the annular surface 20 rotates the area swept out by the sealing member surface is larger than the area of its sealing surface. The arrangement has application to seals for gate valve stems.
Abstract: A three-way air valve whose housing has connection openings for a compressed air power line, a line running to the load and an air let-off opening, the load opening being joined up with the power opening in one position of the valve and with the air let-off opening in the other position thereof. The housing having the power inlet opening, the load opening and the air let-off opening has an axial hole running through it from end to end for taking up a liner, which may be pushed in from one end of the housing and has airways for the air moving through the valve. Furthermore, the liner has a valve lip. Within the inner hole of the liner, which is open at the end nearest to the valve lip, there is the valve spool which has a valve seat for use with the valve lip. The valve spool is acted upon by the driving rod guided in the housing and by a spring which urges it axially.
