  • Patent number: 11738164
Abstract: A preflushing unit (10) preflushes a breathing gas circuit (210) of a closed-circuit respirator (200). A basic body (20) has an inlet port (22), feeding breathing gas from a breathing gas supply (220), an outlet port (24) discharging breathing gas into the breathing circuit, and a flow section (32) fluid connecting a valve chamber (30). A valve body (40) with a sealing surface (42) is arranged in the valve chamber (30). An elastomer body (50) with a counter-sealing surface (52) in the valve chamber, fluid tight separates the flow section from a control section (34). The counter-sealing surface acts with a sealing force against the valve body for sealing the flow section. A control port (26) of the basic body provides a controlled feed of breathing gas from the breathing gas supply into the control section for pressure equalization between the flow section and the control section.

  • Patent number: 11485455
Abstract: This invention provides a means of loading, processing and conditioning raw production gas, production of CGL, storage, transport, and delivery of pipeline quality natural gas or fractionated products to market. The CGL transport vessel utilizes a pipe based containment system to hold more densely packed constituents of natural gas held within a light hydrocarbon solvent than it is possible to attain for natural gas alone under such conditions. The containment system is supported by process systems for loading and transporting the natural gas as a liquid and unloading the CGL from the containment system and then offloading it in the gaseous state. The system can also be utilized for the selective storage and transport of NGLs to provide a total service package for the movement of natural gas and associated gas production. The mode of storage is suited for both marine and land transportation and configured in modular form to suit a particular application and/or scale of operation.

  • Patent number: 8591729
Abstract: The storm drain with water trap is installed in the opening of a storm or sewer drain to close off the underlying drain channels and residual water therein from the open air, thus preventing escape of mold, mosquitoes, and other hazards into the air. The device has an insert having an open top and bottom. A shallow water trap pan is suspended below the insert. In dry conditions, the water trap contains little water, the relatively light weight of the trap and contained water allowing it to be lifted by springs against the bottom of the insert to form a seal. When runoff water flows into the drain, the greater amount of water and its weight draws the insert downward, extending the springs and opening a gap between the lower edge of the insert and the water trap pan to allow the runoff water to flow therethrough.

Abstract: Improvements in retention of the oily liquid sealant (20) in a oil-sealed odor trap (10B-10M), for drain applications such as a waterless urinal or anti-evaporation floor drain, are accomplished by minimizing turbulence in the oil sealant, such as by making the liquid flow path (22A, 22B) substantially horizontal as a departure from conventional practice of substantially vertical flow and by positioning a barrier (40) above the oil sealant to prevent direct impingement of urine or other waste products onto the sealant. The trap is thus structured to realize the substantially horizontal liquid flow path and to locate the flow path immediately beneath the sealant layer or beneath a baffle portion (16B). The baffle portion may be sloped such that stray sealant droplets are encouraged to migrate upwardly to the upper surface of the flow path due to their buoyancy and, therefore, the stray droplets will be recaptured and returned to the main sealant layer.
