Abstract: A standby generator having an engine with oil drain tube that facilitates removal of engine oil from the standby generator is disclosed. The standby generator includes an enclosure comprising a plurality of sidewalls, with an opening formed in one of the sidewalls, and an engine positioned within the enclosure. The engine further includes an oil drain and an oil drain tube having a first end coupled to the oil drain and a second end that opens and closes to selectively drain oil from the engine, the oil drain tube being positionable so as to extend out through the opening. The opening in the one of the sidewalls is lower than the oil drain, such that the oil drain tube is positioned with a downward angle when extending from the oil drain and out of the enclosure through the opening.

Abstract: A flexible drain line assembly for seamlessly connecting a sink to a waste line includes a tube that has a first end and a second end. The first end and the second end are configured to fluidically couple to a waste line and a tailpiece of a sink, respectively. The tube is configured to drain waste water from the sink to the waste line. The tube is flexible to position the first end proximate to the waste line and the second end proximate to the tailpiece. A section of the tube that is positioned proximate to the first end is configured to be curvedly bent below the waste line. A retainer is configured to couple to the tube to fixedly position the section of the tube to defines a trap. The trap is configured to retain liquid to deter passage of gas from the waste line to the sink.
Abstract: A buoyant liquid level indicator device is positioned within liquid drain apparatus having a trough accommodating liquid to form a liquid seal to prevent passage of gas through the liquid drain apparatus. The indicator device will float and be exposed to an outside observer only when a liquid seal is formed by the liquid drain apparatus.
Abstract: An emergency backflow system includes a drain bowl and a holding tank fluidically connected to a utility sewer line. The holding tank is connected to the sewer line via a drain line, and the drain line can be fluidically separated from the drain bowl by a conduit having a float ball therein. The holding tank has a large capacity relative to the drain bowl and thus can accommodate large overflow situations which would otherwise overwhelm the drain bowl.
Abstract: A storing device is disclosed having a gas-sealing device and/or a heating device provided for a pipe connecting a storing tank for an easily polymerizable and/or coagulating liquid substance and a liquid sealing implement-protecting device. A method for the control of the pressure in the storing device is also disclosed. This invention contemplates protecting a storing device against deformation and fracture.
Abstract: Pressurized medium delivery device with a pump, a suction pipe, at least one pressure pipe and a pressurized medium supply volume in a pressurized medium supply container.
Abstract: A plumbing sink trap having a rotatable actuating knob for rotating a sweeper bar through 360°. The sweeper bar forms a part of the U-shaped path for waste water. Rotation of the sweeper bar removes obstructions in the U-shaped path.
Abstract: A seal assembly that provides a means for establishing multiple pressure zones within a system. The seal assembly combines a plate extending from the inner wall of a housing or inner enclosure that intersects with and is immersed in the fluid contained in a well formed in a tray contained within the enclosure. The fluid is a low vapor pressure oil, chemically inert and oxidation resistant. The use of a fluid as the sealing component provides a seal that is self-healing and mechanically robust not subject to normal mechanical wear, breakage, and formation of cracks or pinholes and decouples external mechanical vibrations from internal structural members.
