  • Patent number: 10018276
Abstract: A trunnion-type ball valve including a seat retainer (14) attaching a ball seat(s) to at least one side of a ball (12) having a through hole (12a) provided in a body (11). The ball is turnably provided via a stem (13), and the ball seat is attached in a protrusion-prevented and free state in an attachment groove formed in the seat retainer. An excessive pressure due to an abnormal pressure rise in a cavity upon full close or upon full open is configured to be relieved into a flow channel via a communication part provided between an inner peripheral surface of the ball seat and the attachment groove by moving the seat retainer in a direction opposite to the ball by self-tension utilizing the pressure and pushing-out the ball seat to a ball-side by the excessive pressure flowed into a rear-surface side of the ball seat in the attachment groove.

  • Patent number: 9903482
Abstract: A system includes a ball valve with a housing having a fluid passage, a ball disposed within the housing along the fluid passage, and a stem coupled to the ball. The stem is configured to move the ball between an open position and a closed position relative to the fluid passage. The stem is disposed in a first opening on a first side of the housing. The stem is removable from the first opening, through at least one opening in the ball, and out through a second opening on a second side of the housing.

  • Patent number: 8978691
Abstract: A valve including a flow control assembly having an adaptive, floating closure member is provided. In one embodiment, a ball valve includes a floating closure member having a shoulder enclosed within a recess of the valve body. The recess is larger than the shoulder of the closure member and allows axial movement of the closure member with respect to the valve body and along a flow path through the valve. Additional valve systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8893746
Abstract: A valve (2) is concerned comprising an obturator (16) maintained in a resting position against a seat (14) through the action of a first force generated by pre-loading means (38), further comprising means (28) for rotating the obturator (16) to place the valve in an open or closed position, characterized in that the valve comprises means (26, 40) for translating the obturator to move the obturator (16) such that a gap (j1) is created between the obturator (16) and the seat (14), the translating means being adapted to drive the obturator (16) to move in translation independently of the rotational movement of that obturator (16).

  • Patent number: 8807530
Abstract: A bottom entry plastic ball valve comprises a valve stem cap (1), a valve stem (2), a valve stem sealing ring (3), a valve stem end surface sealing ring (4), a valve ball sealing ring (5), a supporting ring (6) for the valve ball sealing ring, a valve ball (7), a connecting pipe (8), and a valve body (9). A hollow valve ball chamber (911) is provided inside the valve body (9), the valve body (9) is provided with a valve bottom cover hole (912) just below the valve ball chamber (911), and the width of the valve bottom cover hole (912) is larger than the diameter of the valve ball (7). The ball valve also comprises a valve bottom cover (10) corresponding to the valve bottom cover hole (912) so that the valve bottom cover (10) can cover the valve bottom cover hole (912) and can be fusion-bonded to the valve body (9), thereby avoiding the need for electric fusion welding in the manufacture of large-diameter ball valves.
