A first crank is disposed in a first side of the rotary exhaust valve system, and a second crank is disposed in a second side of the rotary exhaust valve system. The second crank is connected to the first crank and the rotary valve ring, and the first crank actuates the second crank and moves the rotary valve ring such that openings of the first plurality of apertures are closed and opened.

The heat exchanger has a heat exchanger inlet and a heat exchanger outlet and a plurality of water conduits connected in parallel fluid communication with the heat exchanger inlet and with the heat exchanger outlet. The heat exchanger inlet is connectable to the second tank outlet, and the heat exchanger outlet is connectable to the second tank inlet. In use, the plurality of water conduits are filled with water and are in contact with ambient air in the residence that is warmer than the water at least a portion of the time, so that heat is transferred from the ambient air to the water.

A tubular expansion chamber surrounds the regulator body and provides an enlarged expansion chamber that reduces valve recycle time. Convolutions or ribs in the expansion chamber housing enhance heat through transfer to the valve gases.

A wedged guide wall is disposed on the inner sidewall of the U-shaped gas guide ring. When the device is in use, gas injected into the chamber will take heat on the heating pipe away. The gas of higher thermal energy then flows from the chamber into the connection pipe and then the exhaust pipeline, hence reducing accumulation of products in the exhaust pipeline.
