  • Patent number: 10697556
Abstract: The sliding parts, the guides and interlocking portions of the interlocking guides and slides of a slide valve are all disposed away from a flow path through the valve. Additionally, the portions of the interlocking guide on the slide or disc of the valve that interlock with the guide on an orifice plate are connected to the slide or disc by welds instead of bolts, greatly increasing durability. As the slide or disc moves in and out to control the flow rate precisely, the guides of the slide or disc move with it. Because the sliding surfaces of the orifice plate and the slide or disc are outside of the flow path, they are consequently not subjected to erosion from the flow through the valve. Accordingly, all critical sliding surfaces are not exposed to the flow path and are greatly increased in durability.

  • Patent number: 10253664
Abstract: A passive exhaust valve assembly includes an exhaust conduit that has a first pipe section attached in generally axial alignment with a second pipe section. The end portion of the first pipe section includes a circumferential segment disposed within the end portion of the second pipe section to form an overlapping interface. The end portions of the first and second pipe sections each include a flange protruding radially outward from the respective first or second pipe section, whereby the flanges engage with each other to form an axle seat therebetween. A support shaft extends laterally across an interior volume of the exhaust conduit and rotatably engages the axle seat. A valve plate is coupled to the support shaft within the interior volume of the exhaust conduit for moving relative to the exhaust conduit between open and closed positions.

Abstract: An ice making machine having a refrigeration system and a water system, the water system having a water reservoir located below a freeze plate adapted to hold water, and a sprayer assembly located below the freeze plate for spraying water from the water reservoir toward the pockets. An inclined ice slide is positioned below the freeze plate and above the sprayer assembly directing fallen ice toward an opening. A divider assembly separating the water system from the ice storage bin includes a plurality of dividers, wherein the dividers may rotate outwardly away from the opening to allow formed ice to fall into the ice storage bin. Each divider is formed from a generally rectangular body having a front face with a triangular-shaped thickness and an extension flap extending away from the body opposite the front face.

  • Patent number: 10161531
Abstract: A dust and abrasive materials gate valve with an angled valve seat and pivotably mounted valve gate allows for a broad seal area around the periphery of the valve seat, which may be closed tightly by a wedging action due to increasing force applied by the valve actuator. The valve seal is thus not formed along a single, linear surface as in traditional gate valves and the force applied by the valve gate to the seat facilitates closing even if there is wear along the sealing surfaces. Due to the relatively large open area around the periphery of the valve gate just before closing or immediately upon opening, the velocity of particles in pressurized systems is reduced and erosion reduced accordingly.
