  • Patent number: 9624878
Abstract: A non-return valve device for an internal combustion engine includes a valve housing comprising an aperture with a downstream end arranged in a duct housing. The aperture defines a flow cross section. A valve seat surrounds the flow cross section. A valve closing member, provided as leaf springs, adapts, closes or opens the flow cross section. A distance between each of the leaf springs in their maximum opened position at the downstream end of the aperture and the duct housing arranged opposite to each of the leaf springs has a maximum which is twice as large as a distance between each of the leaf springs in their maximum opened position and the valve seat arranged opposite to each of the leaf springs. Defining inner walls of the duct housing downstream of the valve housing are arranged so that the flow cross section is first continuously reduced and then continuously enlarged.

Upon actuation of the control lever to open and close the intakes and drains, the bush and thus also the extension of the housing and the front wall thereof are strained by bending. Upon mixing of the cold and hot water streams, friction forces arise in directions, which are perpendicular to one another, between the bush and the front wall of the housing and in the extension of the housing by rotation of the bush. All of these strains can result in hysteresis in the mixing position and in the position of the control cam during the opening and closing movements because of tolerances and play the opening and closing movements because of tolerances and play between the individual components. To overcome the strain issues, the bush bus has the control lever mounted therein is mounted using a conical face and also conical part of the front wall of the cylindrical housing.

The cartridge insert valve also includes a seat cap with an orifice defined therein. The seat cap is positioned on a cylindrical housing second end opposite the cylindrical housing first end. The cartridge insert valve is located in the pipe such that a fluid flowing through the pipe normally enters the inlet cap, flows through the cylindrical housing and exits the seat cap. The cartridge insert valve also includes a piston assembly that shuts off flow through the valve in response to an excess flow through the valve.

Abstract: A valve for use in the control of pressurized air from a pressure tank, the pressure tank including a wall in which an outlet port is formed, the wall having an inner surface and an outer surface. The valve includes a valve body of generally cylindrical configuration having an inner end which in use is located inside the pressure tank and an outer end which in use is located outside of the tank. A flow passage extends through the valve body, the flow passage having an inlet at or adjacent the inner end of the body and an outlet at or adjacent the outer end of the body. A valve seat surrounds the flow passage and a valve closure member is moveable towards and away from the valve seat to close and open the valve respectively.

Abstract: A constant flow regulating valve of the type described in U.S. Pat. Nos. 6,026,850 and 6,209,578 includes a closure mechanism configured and arranged to override the modulating mode of the valve and to close the valve at fluid inlet pressures both below and above the valve's threshold level. The closure mechanism may be selectively deactivated to thereby allow the valve to assume its normal pressure responsive regulating functions. Embodiments of the regulating valve incorporate pressure relief devices and vent seals, with configurations suitable for incorporation into the trigger assemblies of portable sprayers.

  • Patent number: 7806136
Abstract: In the direct-acting valve of the present invention, no flange is formed in the valve box and the piping is achieved by interposing the valve box between pipe flanges. The direct acting valve includes: a driving section that operates by sensing a primary pressure or a secondary pressure; and a valve body communicating with the driving section to open and close a flow path. A valve box of the valve is positioned between pipe flanges tightened by bolts and nuts. Connecting end portions to be mated with pipe flanges respectively have an inlet and an outlet of the flow path, and each of the end portions is formed to have a smaller diameter than that of the pipe flange. A cover flange neck is extended upward from the valve box is formed so as to be interposed between the bolts B and B1 which are provided between the pipe flanges and adjacent to each other on the circumference of the pipe flanges.

Abstract: The refrigerant service port valve for air conditioners has a valve body defining a main fluid conduit adapted for insertion into a coolant line using compression fittings at opposite ends of the conduit. A pedestal is mounted on the exterior conduit wall. The pedestal has a bore therethrough forming a lower service passage that enters the main fluid conduit, and an internally threaded blind bore parallel to the lower service passage. A slider is mounted on the pedestal, the slider having a male quick connect fitting defining an upper service passage. The upper service passage may be aligned with the lower service passage in an open position to service the system, or the slider may be moved to align the upper service passage with the blind bore to access a setscrew, which is raised partially into the upper service passage to lock the valve in a closed position.
