Rectilinear Valve Stem Rigid With Reactor Surface Patents (Class 137/505.41)
  • Patent number: 11360496
Abstract: The invention relates to a valve device (1) having a pressure regulator (3) for a flowing gas and a housing (4). The pressure regulator (3) includes a diaphragm (31), a spring (34), a control actuator (32), and a control seat (33). The control actuator (32) includes a plate-like portion (32?) and a rod-like portion (32?) adjacent to one side of the plate-like portion (32?), the control seat (31) encompassing the rod-like portion (32?) of the control actuator (32). The diaphragm (31) and the control actuator (32) are mechanically coupled to each other such that an axial movement of the control actuator (32) moves the diaphragm (31). In addition, the spring (34) and the control actuator (32) are mechanically coupled to each other. The control seat (33) limits a movement of the control actuator (32). In one state, the control seat (33) and the control actuator (32) prevent the gas from flowing. The control seat (33) is configured as a ring arranged in a recess (40) of the housing (4).

Abstract: Embodiments disclose a fluidic safety valve comprising a valve housing including at least one fluid inlet opening and at least one fluid outlet opening. A closing element, guided in the valve housing, is preloaded by a spring element at a predetermined preloading force toward a closed position of the safety valve. In the closed position, a fluid flow from the at least one fluid inlet opening toward the at least one fluid outlet opening is blocked. When a predetermined fluid pressure is reached, the closing element moves toward an open position of the safety valve, enabling a fluid flow from the at least one fluid inlet opening toward the at least one fluid outlet opening. The valve housing is sealed by a valve housing sealing element comprising an effective fluid pressure force surface coupled to the closing element and configured to carry along the closing element relative to the housing.

  • Patent number: 7334598
Abstract: This pressure regulator is specifically designed to operate with a portable compressed gas cartridge thus reducing the high vapor pressure found in compressed gas cartridges down to a substantially consistent outlet pressure. Due to the nature of the crowded regulator art, the soon to be embodied pressure regulator has been specifically embodied for use in the portable compressed gas cartridge harnessing art and this specific use is carried into the claims. Exemplified in the pressure regulator embodiments is a reduced amount of components over existing designs. Additionally, safety and reliability features have been integrated into the design and will shortly be taught in the following paragraphs. A burp-off feature in all embodiments will be exemplified that vents back-pressure spikes as well as a method of adjusting the burp-off back-pressure spikes independent of regulated pressure in some embodiments.

  • Patent number: 7264018
Abstract: A variable device for regulating the outlet pressure of a fluid from a valve body, includes a pressure-sensing chamber having a wall formed by a resilient self-restoring diaphragm which is responsive to pressure in the chamber. A valve element connected to the diaphragm controls flow into the chamber. Increased pressure in the chamber decreases the flow into the chamber and decreasing pressure increases flow whereby fluid flow out from the chamber is maintained at a desired pressure. The outlet pressure is adjusted by deflecting the diaphragm in a direction to open the valve while permitting a section of the diaphragm connected to the valve member to remain responsive to the pressure in the chamber. An adjustment cover is provided to adjustably deflect the diaphragm and includes a catch mechanism to allow adjustment of the fluid outlet pressures and also retain the device at a desired value. An indicator arrangement may be provided to visually indicate the fluid outlet pressure.

  • Patent number: 6874521
Abstract: A diaphragm operated regulator valve usable, e.g., for maintaining a preset gas pressure in a potable storage container, provides particularly effective at gas flow regulation as well as pressure regulation. The use of the word “fluid” as used herein can encompass both liquids and gasses. The valve includes a gas-balanced piston-tower diaphragm assembly that is freely supported, sealed, and operatively connected to a pressure-biasing adjustment. The diaphragm assembly permits axial movement relationships between valving channels or pathways, a valving-seal, and volume changes that take place in a low-pressure chamber. The valve 1) converts axial movement of the diaphragm into smooth transitional flow rates by varying the cross sectional areas of ingress and egress from an open valve position to a closed valve position and 2) has the ability to preset maximum flow rates.
