  • Patent number: 11248709
Abstract: A fast blind plate switching device, comprising a sealing structure, a clamping structure, a support structure and an execution mechanism. The blind plate has an open-state structure and a blind-state structure. The support structure is used for connecting pipelines at two sides and providing support for the whole device. The clamping structure and the sealing structure are located inside the support structure. The clamping structure is driven by the execution mechanism, and under the drive of the execution mechanism, the clamping structure presses on the blind plate (1) to eliminate a gap between two sides of the blind plate, so that a seal is formed by means of the sealing structure. When a gap is formed away from the blind plate (1), the open/blind state of the blind plate (1) is switched.

The slide plate can be located in a first position where the right and left fasteners extend through a first set of bolt holes in the slide plate and where a first portion of the slide plate is between the faces of the flanges, and in a second position where the right and left fasteners extend through a second set of bolt holes in the slide plate and where a second portion of the slide plate is between the faces of the flanges. The slide plate can be configured to allow or block or restrict flow.

  • Patent number: 6871666
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for a bi-directional dual chamber orifice fitting comprising a body with a chamber in fluid communication with a flow bore. The fitting also comprises an orifice supported by an orifice plate carrier that is selectably disposable in the bore. In the preferred embodiment, the lower chamber includes two passageways connecting the chamber to the flow bore. One passageway is located on either side of the orifice plate. Each passageway may also be equipped with a check valve to permit flow in only one direction through the passageway. In operation, the passageway on the upstream side of the orifice would allow fluid to flow into the lower chamber while the passageway on the downstream side would prevent flow back into the flow bore.

  • Patent number: 6843483
Abstract: A seal ring for an orifice plate includes a metal annular body having an outer peripheral edge and an inner peripheral edge. A first sealing element retainer is integrally formed with and extends from a first side of the body. A second sealing element retainer is integrally formed with and extends from a second side of the body. An annular first sealing element engages the first sealing element retainer on the first side of the body. An annular second sealing element engages the second sealing element retainer on the second side of the body. The first sealing element and the second sealing element leave the outer peripheral edge of the body exposed to facilitate metal on metal contact between a carrier of an orifice fitting and the outer peripheral edge. The first sealing element and the second sealing element extend past the inner peripheral edge to form an orifice plate receiving groove.

  • Patent number: 6840282
Abstract: A method to set a hollow device into an undersea flow pipe uses a flexible pig driven by a flow flowing into said flow pipe to displace a hollow device to a point where a stop means halts a displacement of said hollow device, thereby setting said hollow device into position. A method to retrieve a hollow device into an undersea flow pipe uses a flexible pig driven by a flow flowing into said flow pipe to retrieve said hollow device from a location where said hollow device operates halted by a stopping means.

  • Patent number: 6655413
Abstract: A method and device for pressure testing a pipe line is provided wherein a fitting is inserted into the pipeline by inserting male ends of the pipeline into female ends of the fitting to define a flow path through the fitting extending along a longitudinal axis. The fitting has an internal boss extending around a circumference of the flow path and extending radially inward toward the centerline a distance corresponding to the wall thickness of the mating male ends of the pipes so the pipes and boss define a periphery of the flow path through the fitting. A recess is formed in the boss to sequentially receive two slides. An externally accessible port allows a test slide to be inserted into the recess, with the test slide sealing against the walls defining the recess to form a fluid-tight seal for pressure testing the line. The test slide is removed and a finish slide is inserted into the recess.
