  • Patent number: 10598289
Abstract: The disclosed spool valve is used especially in conveying systems comprising conveying pipes (6, 7) and includes a spool (1) which allows the conveying cross-section of the conveying pipe (6, 7) to be closed. The spool (1) has at least one through-hole (33). The conveying pipe (6, 7) is sealed from the spool (1) by at least one sealing ring (27, 28). Said sealing ring (27, 28) surrounds the conveying line (6, 7) and includes a washer-shaped sealing portion. Said sealing portion lies flat on the spool and seals under the effect of the difference between the pressure in the conveying line (6, 7) and the ambient pressure.

  • Patent number: 9964218
Abstract: The invention is an improved line blind valve which provides absolute positive flow shut-off in piping systems. It uses fluid pressure to separate the seal surfaces while ensuring the end connections do not move relative to each other. Once separated, the blind can be moved easily into either the closed blind position or the open full flow position. The assembly consists of an outer housing, two end pipes and a sliding carrier that allows a blind to be either inserted into the flow or removed by pivoting the blind about a pin.

  • Patent number: 9500284
Abstract: A gate valve is provided with a flapper mechanism that is disposed in the main body of the valve and automatically works to seal and isolate the main body of the valve from a bonnet. The bonnet is isolated without any manual function or operation. When the flapper valve is in a closed position, the bonnet, gate and gate actuating mechanism can be removed from the gate valve body without isolating the gate valve. This enables the bonnet and associated components to be repaired or replaced while water or fluid under pressure continues to flow through the main body of the gate valve.

  • Patent number: 8567447
Abstract: A multipartite mechanical press is presented, preferably bipartite for flanged connections that allows the handling of flanged connections on pipes for addition/removal of elements to/from the line, such as filters, plates, flow regulators, measurement elements, orifice plates and valves. The multipartite design allows a totally mechanical installation, without the need for any type of modification to the pipeline, or by destructive procedures of removal or addition of material. For installation of the multipartite mechanical press requires the existence of flanged connections in the pipel in question. The operation of the press is totally manual, i.e. operation does not require the use of mechanisms activated by any electrical, pneumatic, fuel-based, etc. means.

  • Patent number: 8459305
Abstract: A dual chamber orifice fitting including a first chamber maintained in fluid communication with a pipeline and a second chamber maintained in fluid communication with the first chamber. The fitting includes sealing member formed as an eccentric plug member that is selectively rotatable from a first position wherein the sealing member seals the first chamber from the second chamber, and a second position wherein the sealing member permits the first chamber to be placed in fluid communication with the second chamber. The sealing member includes a curved sealing surface having a pocket recessed therein for containing a non-metallic insert seat. The non-metallic insert seat sealingly engages a seat plate when the sealing member is in the first position. A retainer plate retains the insert seat in the recessed pocket.

  • Patent number: 7870873
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for operating a dual chamber orifice fitting. The dual chamber orifice fitting comprises a body having a lower chamber and a top having an upper chamber. An aperture connects the upper chamber to the lower chamber. A closure member is pivotally mounted to the fitting and pivots about a first axis between a first position and a second position. A pivot arm is rotatably mounted to the body and engages the closure member so that rotation of the pivot arm about a second axis pivots said closure member about the first axis between the first and second positions.
