Abstract: A composite safety toothbrush is disclosed. The toothbrush apparatus detailed herein employs a composite head made from a rigid inner polymer material and a softer thermoplastic material surrounding the inner material. The softer material provides safety for prison toothbrush applications as well as elderly and patient care where care givers may brush the teeth of a patient. Innovative pin connectors in the inner toothbrush head assist in the composite formation. The toothbrush solution herein further importantly provides for a toothbrush having a flexible handle.

Abstract: An oral care implement having a handle and a head. The head may include a support structure formed of a rigid material and a monolithic cleaning block formed of a thermoplastic elastomer. The support structure may have a front surface and a recess formed therein, the recess extending partially through the support structure and terminating in a floor. The monolithic cleaning block may include an anchor portion disposed within the recess of the support structure, a base portion having a bottom surface overlying at least a portion of the front surface of the support structure, and a plurality of cleaning elements extending from a top surface of the base portion.

Abstract: Conventional toothbrushes must be destroyed and incinerated as refuse after use, resulting in a waste of resources and generating carbon dioxide. A toothbrush is provided with: a toothbrush body having a head formed in an oval-ring shape, the head having a female part or male part being aligned with the toothbrush body and disposed at a connection region connecting to the toothbrush body; and a replaceable bristle part having a male or female part being releasably coupled to the male part or female part of the head. Thus, after an appropriate period of use, the replaceable bristle part can be easily exchanged. The coupling of the female part or male part prevents the fore-end of the toothbrush from shaking laterally during tooth brushing. The toothbrush provides a toothbrush body for repeated reuse, and contributes significantly to the reduction of carbon dioxide by a reduction in refuse.

Abstract: A replaceable bristle toothbrush device for periodically replacing worn bristles of a toothbrush includes a head having a front face. Each of a plurality of panels has an associated plurality of bristles coupled to and extending from the panel. Each panel is selectively couplable to the front face of the head wherein the associated plurality of bristles extends outwardly from the front face of the head. A handle is provided having a first end and a second end. The head is coupled to and extends from the first end of the handle.

Abstract: An oral care implement is provided with a head platform having an opening extending between first and second faces. A first cavity may be defined between the first face and an upper support ledge and a second cavity may be defined between the second face and a lower support ledge. A channel may be defined between the upper and lower support ledges and an area circumscribed within the upper support ledge may be greater than an area circumscribed within the lower support ledge. First and second plates may be attached to the head platform proximate the first cavity and channel, respectively. A shoulder of the first plate may be received on the upper support ledge such that first cleaning elements extend away from the first face. A shoulder of the second plate may be received on the lower support ledge such that second cleaning elements extend through the second cavity away from the second face.

Abstract: An oral cleaning section for detachable connection with a handle section of an oral cleaning device is disclosed. The oral cleaning section has a connector structure for detachably attaching the oral cleaning section to the handle section. The connector structure has a first receptacle suitable for accommodating a first protrusion of the handle section in the attached state, the first receptacle having a first resilient element provided on a first circumferential side of the first receptacle arranged in a circumferential direction, the circumferential direction being defined with respect to the longitudinal extension axis of the oral cleaning section. The disclosure is also directed to an oral cleaning device that includes an oral cleaning section attached to a handle section.

The locking mechanism includes a safety gate coupled to the handle, the safety gate being pivotable relative to the handle. The locking mechanism also includes a locking receptacle configured to receive the safety gate, whereby the locking mechanism is locked.

Abstract: An oral care implement is provided with a head platform having a plurality of faces and an insert retention space formed therebetween. The oral care implement can have an insert disposed within the insert retention space. The insert can include an oral care agent that is dispensed through one of the faces. The oral care implement can include a plurality of support members on the plurality of faces from which cleaning elements extend. The oral care implement can further include a fluid-permeable and/or air-permeable support member on one of the faces and an insert containing a fluid-permeable and/or air-permeable agent. The oral care implement can be formed by affixing a first AFT-tufted carrier plate to a first face of the head platform and affixing a second AFT-tufted carrier plate to the second face of the head platform.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to a toothbrush and methods of making it. The toothbrush may have an elongated body being composed of a first material and having a head portion and a handle portion, a head composed of a second material and disposed in the head portion of the elongated body, and a plurality of bristles extending from the head forming a bristle brush. The method of making a toothbrush may include molding a head of a first material, inserting the head into an elongated body mold, molding an elongated body having a head portion and a handle portion of a second material onto the head, and inserting bristles into the head. The first material is more rigid than the second material.

Abstract: The invention relates to a toothbrush with a neck piece and a brush body, comprising a head piece connected thereto, conventional bristles and at least one soft elastic cleaning element. According to the invention, the conventional bristles are mounted on a support element made from hard plastic. The above is connected to the brush body by means of a recess on the head piece which matches the support element. The at least one cleaning element is arranged on the head piece and directly connected to the brush body. The invention further relates to a method for production of such a toothbrush.

The invention relates in particular to a bristle holder for a brush, the bristle holder having a frame, a bristle anchoring means, and a back part, the back part having a first end area adjacent to the handle part of a connectable brush and a second end area adjacent to the brush end, the first end area supporting at least one first connecting element and the second end area supporting at least one positioning element and at least one holding element. The invention furthermore relates to a brush with and for a bristle holder of the described type.

Abstract: A novel paint roller “cage” having improved tracking and ease of use is adapted for receiving different length axle shafts of various sizes of paint roller frames. An outer tubular support, upon which a paint roller cover or other paint absorbing material may be mounted, contains a pair of support bearings secured at either end of an inner tubular chassis, with one support bearing at a first end of the outer tubular support, and the other support bearing at approximately its mid point. The two support bearings are connected by an inner tubular chassis, which both maintains the two bearings at a desired axial spacing and also holds the walls and radial bearing surfaces of a bushing chamber that is integrally molded with each support bearing in proper position about a tubular bushing that is adapted to be frictionally secured to the axle shaft. In one embodiment, the outer tubular support has a diameter of about 1? and a length of about 9?, and can be used with both 6.5? and 9? roller frames.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a cleaning brush structure having a replaceable brush hair plate, which comprises an accommodating groove being tapered in width from its front end to its rear end on a plate body of the cleaning brush and a baseboard being tapered in width from its front end to its rear end, such that the baseboard can be secured into the accommodating groove and will not fall out easily. Further, the accommodating groove has an opening disposed above the accommodating groove and slightly smaller than the bottom thereof, and its rear end is broader than its front end, such that when a user takes out the baseboard for replacement or cleaning, the baseboard will not come out uncontrollably due to the excessively applied force.

Abstract: A brush including removable plates with tines that can be inserted into a complementary handle. The plates, made up of tines connected to a manifold at one end, are retained by the handle. Removable flat plates can be of a unitary construction and can be rolled, stacked or folded upon one another to form layers of tines. The plates are designed to be easily separated from a brush after use to allow for cleaning or replacement. The plates may also be interconnected by a set of hinges. The tines may include a plurality of flutes or ribs that increase the surface area of the tines and aid in increasing liquid retention when the brush is being used. After use, the individual plates can be removed from the handle and easily cleaned.

Abstract: A wall-mountable back scrubber is provided, comprising a rectangular base unit with adapter mounts and suction cups attached to the rear surface, slots with adjacent tabs in the front surface, and a compartment and soap dish in the top, along with a brush unit with adapter mounts attached to the rear surface, wherein the adapter mounts attached to the brush unit are configured to fit within the slots in the rectangular base unit and be held in place by the tabs. The back scrubber has particular utility in connection with scrubbing with a soothing and massaging effect.

Abstract: A convertible surface contacting implement having a head member and a long handle. The head member has a base, and a surface contacting member carried by the base. The head member forms a short-handled implement with the base acting as a short handle. A first connector is provided on the base and a second connector is provided on one end of the long handle. The second connector cooperates with the first connector to detachably connect the long handle to the base to form a long-handled implement. The implement may be a brush or an applicator. Preferably, the base of the head member is hollow to carry a liquid dispersed to the surface contacting member.
