Abstract: A wheel brush for a wheelchair has a brush housing that has a longitudinal channel and an open bottom. A brush head is slidably received within the channel such that bristles located on the brush head extend out through the open bottom of the brush housing. The brush housing is attached to a back of a wheelchair via a connecting arm so as to position the bristles in engaging relationship with a portion of one of the rear wheels of the wheelchair. The connecting arm is either attached directly to the wheelchair or is attached to the wheelchair via a bracket, the bracket attached to the wheelchair and having a slot such that a leg of the connecting arm is received within the slot.

The locking members (134) and engagement rib (230) may be aligned with or angled relative to the longitudinal axis of the oral care implement. A portion of the stem may be visible through a portion of the refill head to reinforce the proper connection between the refill head and the handle.

The upper hook is engageable with the lower hook. A locking release control is configured to disengage the upper hook from the lower hook.

Each of the panel sections and an adjacent set defines a head. A frangible area in the panel is formed at junctures of each of the heads to facilitate breaking the heads off from one another. The panel is slidable outwardly through the first end to expose the heads and allow the heads to be used for brushing teeth. The heads are broken off of the panel to allow a next one of the heads to be used.

Thus, the brush body is not subject to sliding with respect to the grip for definite touch and preferable cleaning effect.

The curler fitting over the end of the brush is designed to freely rotate, with a spring loaded release lever included for use in quickly releasing the attached curler on demand. Curlers to be applied over the brush handle are hollow, cylindrical shaped rollers, on the surface which a series of soft fiber bristles for use in gently gripping the hair are integrally attached. As an additional consideration, curlers of various diameters can be configured for use with the E-Z Roller, thus enabling the user to create looser or tighter curlers. Any appropriate clip fastener is also be included for use in securing the curler in place.

An outer tubular support, upon which a paint roller cover or other paint absorbing material may be mounted, contains a pair of support bearings secured at either end of an inner tubular chassis, with one support bearing at a first end of the outer tubular support, and the other support bearing at approximately its mid point. The two support bearings are connected by an inner tubular chassis, which both maintains the two bearings at a desired axial spacing and also holds the walls and radial bearing surfaces of a bushing chamber that is integrally molded with each support bearing in proper position about a tubular bushing that is adapted to be frictionally secured to the axle shaft. In one embodiment, the outer tubular support has a diameter of about 1? and a length of about 9?, and can be used with both 6.5? and 9? roller frames.

A slot may be formed in an inner surface of the cylindrical flange. A ferrule that can have a generally dovetail-shaped projection provided on its outer surface can be secured to an end of the handle. The projection and the slot can form a joint when the handle is connected to the base block. This joint substantially prevents the handle from rotating relative to the base block.

Abstract: A hairbrush comprises a detachable handle; a metal roller including linear apertures and disposable bristles, and a coupling mechanism allowing the roller to automatically rotate on an axis of rotation when it encounters a tangle during use. A degree of resistance of the roller to rotation varies to correspond to a hair type of the client. A ribbed inner wall of a receiving portion of the roller receives a top portion of the handle. The top portion may have within it prongs and a movable piece inward of the prongs that varies the pressure against rotation of the roller. Ball bearings extend outwardly from the prongs to the ribbed inner wall. Bumps on the prongs keep the handle from detaching from the roller unless an exertion is made. A magnetic attraction between the rollers emplaces the rollers firmly in the hair and allows the brush to be extended.

Abstract: A system and method for enabling the replacement of electric toothbrush heads on toothbrush models that require users to replace the entire toothbrush head assembly is described. Toothbrush head assemblies typically include much more than a simple toothbrush head, for example, a shank attached to magnets and a housing for coupling the shank to the toothbrush base. The present invention therefore permits the replacement of worn out toothbrush heads instead of entire toothbrush head assembly that includes many parts that have not worn out. The system includes tools for separating an existing toothbrush head from a shank and replacement toothbrush heads having new bristles that couple with the shank or the head assembly of a particular toothbrush model.

The bristles are configured so that the plastic bristles are arranged around an outer circumference of the brush head surface to encircle the metal bristles extending from a central portion of the brush head surface.

Abstract: Described are preferred sanitary cleaning devices that include a disposable cleaning head portion and a handle portion. The cleaning head is releasably connectable to the handle portion. The handle portion includes a pair of elongate rods laterally spaced relative to one another and capable of deflection toward one another. The rods present prongs that are selectively received within and removed from apertures provided in the cleaning head. To attach the cleaning head to the handle, the rods are deflected, for example by compressing a grip area, and the prongs are positioned adjacent the receiving apertures, and thereafter the rods are released. This causes the prongs to be received within the apertures, to connect the cleaning head to the handle. Preferred devices of the invention are advantageous in that the user need not touch the cleaning head or adjacent areas expected to contact materials from the toilet to achieve connection and removal of the head from the handle.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a brush attachment adapted to be attached to and detached from a shaft of a handle of an electric toothbrush, including a bristle area, a brush shank and a plug-on part disposed in the brush shank, wherein the plug-on part includes a first spring element and a second spring element which act on the shaft when the brush attachment is plugged onto the shaft. This establishes a connection without play between the brush attachment and the shaft, enabling relatively high vibration frequencies to be transmitted.

Abstract: One embodiment of an applicator comprises a brush head with a ferrule, and a brush handle. The ferrule has the head at one end and the handle at the other end. Magnetic elements, at least one of which is a magnet, are attached to the brush handle and ferrule where the two parts connect. The brush head can be removed from the handle, assembled with the handle, and switched easily whenever needed. The ferrule can be kept firmly on the handle by the action of the magnet inside. The head can be retracted by sliding a sleeve mounted on the handle forward over the sides of the head. The head, when removed from the handle, can be washed without the risk of water penetrating the sleeve mechanism. The head can also be replaced or interchanged, which can greatly enlarge the versatility of the brush and also avoids waste of material.

Each brush includes a plurality of filaments disposed inwardly from opposite edges of the backing strip. Bands overlie outer end portions of the filaments adjacent edges of the backing strip, with the bands covering only a portion of each filament length. The backing strip includes parting lines for tearing to remove an intermediate portion of the backing strip between the brushes to expose the filaments.

The ferrule includes a plurality of bristles secured therein, and extending axially therefrom.
