Abstract: The disclosure addresses a series of interactions between wheels and a number of different replaceable tire segments to cover the wheels. The disclosure teaches more than one way to engage the one or more tire segments to wheels and to form seams between ends of the one or more tire segments. The tire segments may be removed and replaced so that the wheels and wheel bearing may be used longer than the useful life of the tire segments.

Abstract: A sheave may include a body portion with a circular circumference and defining a center plane, a bore extending through the body portion and configured for receiving a shaft and allowing the body portion to rotate in the center plane, and a rope groove arranged on the circular circumference, wherein, the body portion comprises a structured profile.
Abstract: The invention relates to a wheel arch to be coupled to a tyre (4) of a wheel, that has a liner (1) to go around a tread, a frame (2) for supporting the liner (1) and providing rigidity to the wheel arch, and fixing means for fixing the frame (2) to the tyre (4). The invention also relates to a wheel comprising various wheel arches of the above-mentioned type.
Abstract: A Segmented Tire Apparatus for improving the reliability and performance of irrigation systems. The Segmented Tire Apparatus includes a plurality of arcuate tire segments coupleable end to end to form a circular tire. Each of the arcuate tire segments has a plurality of treads which may be radial, transverse, or semi-transverse. Additionally the apparatus may be filled with a closed cell foam to provide stability and rigidity while inhibiting water from collecting on the inside of the tire.
Abstract: An exemplary embodiment relates to a non-pneumatic tire for a center pivot irrigation system comprising two arcuate half-tire segments, the segments having two sidewalls connected by an outer circumferential wall and an inner circumferential wall; a plurality of transverse traction cleats circumferentially spaced on the outer circumferential wall extending between the side walls, the cleats having a rounded tip; a pair of connecting cleats at the ends of the half-tire segments having a plurality of apertures adapted for use in connecting the two arcuate half-tire segments; and a plurality of connectors adapted for insertion into the apertures wherein the cleats are tapered in width having a ratio of the center width of the cleat to the edge width of the cleat of at least about 1.25:1.
Abstract: A tire system that includes a cylindrical metal rim with an outer surface and a plurality of solid tire segments, each of the tire segments having at least one track that is connected to a mounting plate, the mounting plates being circumferentially positioned adjacent to the outer surface of the rim. The tire system may be employed on an off-highway earthmoving machine such as a towed or other scraping device.
Abstract: A wheel having a segmented tire includes a plurality of tire segments, a hub having a means for radially securing the plurality of tire segments therearound, and a front plate attachable to the hub in abutting relationship to the plurality of tire segments.
Abstract: A tire section individually securable to a wheel rim with other tire sections to form a tire so that such sections are replaceable when worn or damaged is disclosed comprising an improvement in which a substantially flexible tire section having a flat area is secured to a sealing adaptor plate through a steel ring mounting member integral with the tire section. The steel ring may be mounted in the bead of the tire, the bead facing inwardly or outwardly. Either a bolt or a clamp may be employed to secure the tire section to a flat sealing adaptor plate. The adaptor plate in turn may be mounted on a tire rim surface lying in a circumferential plane transversely extending from a wheel.
