    Abstract: A lid for a disposable beverage container. A sheet of plastic is passed through an offset printing process to directly print images at multiple discrete locations on the sheet. During printing, registration marks are printed on the sheet. These marks are used to align the sheet correctly for subsequent printing runs in which additional colors are added to the images. The registration marks are also used to correctly position the printed sheet on a mold. Multiple lids are thermoformed into the printed plastic sheet. The registration marks are subsequently used to correctly position the thermoformed printed sheet with a die-cutter to separate the multiple printed and formed lids from the sheet. The images are printed in non-heat sensitive inks as these will resist distortion of the printed images during the thermoforming process. Preferably each image is printed so that it ends up in a depression on the eventually formed lids.

    Abstract: A method of making a low-pressure thin-walled heat exchanger and a low-pressure thin-walled heat exchanger are described. According to the production method a thin metal cover layer and a thin cover layer consisting of metal or plastic are sealed with one another. The sealing is realized by a thin layer of a sealable polymer that is provided as coating on one side of at least one cover layer and/or by a separate intermediate layer of a sealable polymer. Both cover layers are sealed with one another by the interposed layer of the sealable polymer with the formation of a cavity suitable for the passage of a heat exchange medium which cavity can be formed as passage system. Such heat exchangers can be produced in an especially cheap way in this manner.

Fabrication techniques can include use of a polymer mask or direct dielectric molding. In embodiments utilizing a polymer mask, a temporary 3D polymeric relief pattern is formed on a substrate and used as a mask or stencil to form the desired pattern elements. In an additive process, the conductive material is deposited over the masked surface. Deposition can be followed by mask removal In the subtractive process, the conductive layer can be deposited prior to formation of the polymer mask, and the exposed parts of the underlying conductive layer can be etched. Other embodiments utilize dielectric molding in which the molded structure itself becomes an integral and permanent part of the FSS structure.
