  • Patent number: 10091886
Abstract: In an LC composite component, a chip capacitor is built in a multilayer substrate including base material layers made of a thermoplastic resin. The number of the base material layers in a portion overlapping the component as seen from a lamination direction is equal to the number of the base material layers in a portion around the component as seen from the lamination direction. Wiring patterns that adjust the thickness of the multilayer substrate are provided around the chip capacitor as seen from the lamination direction, and on principal surfaces of the base material layers, so as to surround the chip capacitor.

Abstract: A pre-cured laminate plate for use within a component of a wind turbine rotor blade may generally include a plate body extending in a thickness direction between a first side and a second side and in a widthwise direction between a first end and a second end. The plate body may define a plate thickness between the first and second sides. The pre-cured laminate plate may also include a plurality of channels formed in the plate body between the first and second ends. Each channel may extend in the thickness direction between a top end that is open along the first side of the plate body and a bottom end that terminates at a location between the first and second sides of the plate body such that the plate body defines a reduced thickness between the bottom end of each channel and the second side of the plate body.

Abstract: A foam sandwich reflector and a method for making a foam sandwich reflector. The reflector and method incorporate a foam slab having a top and bottom surface. Each of the top and bottom surface of the foam slab have a coating of an adhesive layer. The adhesive coating on the bottom surface of the foam slab is a lower bonding layer that bonds the foam slab to the bottom high modulus layer. The adhesive coating on the top surface of the foam slab is an upper bonding layer that bonds the foam slab to the top high modulus layer; bottom high modulus layer composed of a metal, e.g., aluminum or steel. The reflector and method also include an optically smooth, highly reflective high modulus layer. The reflector is curved in one dimension, and the curve is configured to concentrate light when the reflector is in use.

  • Patent number: 10076897
Abstract: Provided is a method for producing a granular powder-containing sheet containing a granular powder in separated container rooms between two sheet materials. After the container rooms are formed in a first sheet material, the first sheet material is transported on the circumferential surface of an anvil roller. In the process of transportation, the granular powder that is fed from a granular powder feeding hopper through a feeding passage is received in the container rooms. Thereafter, the container rooms are covered with a second sheet material, and the two sheet materials are joined to each other on the peripheries of the container rooms.
