    Abstract: This disclosure is directed to a system for attaching devices to flexible substrates. A device may be coupled to a flexible substrate in a manner that prevents adhesive from contacting conductive ink while the adhesive is harmful. If conductive epoxy is used to anchor conductive pads in the device to the flexible substrate, conductive epoxy may be applied beyond the edge of the device over which conductive ink may be applied to make electrical connections. Holes may also be formed in the flexible substrate allowing conductive epoxy to be exposed on a surface of the flexible substrate opposite to the device location, the conductive ink connections being made on the opposite surface. The conductive ink may also be applied directly to the conductive pads when extended beyond the device's edge. The flexible substrate may be pre-printed with circuit paths, the conductive ink coupling the device to the circuit paths.

    Abstract: A process for forming a back-sheet assembly for a photovoltaic module having multiple solar cells with back-side electrical contacts includes providing a substrate, adhering an electrically conductive metal circuit to the substrate, adhering release pads to the metal circuit in a pattern, adhering an insulating layer to the metal circuit, forming openings in said insulating layer in a pattern over the release pads, and filling the openings with electrically conductive material that is in electrical contact with the electrically conductive metal circuit. A process for forming a photovoltaic module with this back-sheet assembly is also provided. The back-sheet assembly and photovoltaic module made with the back-sheet assembly are also provided.

The resilient floor tile has a shaped edge formed on an upper surface thereof that extends about at least a portion of a perimeter of the resilient floor tile. In order to make the resilient floor tile, a continuous sheet of a base layer is conveyed into a press die. The press die is actuated from an open position to a closed position. The continuous sheet is cut with a blade of a cutting tool of the press die to form side surfaces of the resilient floor tile when the press die is in the closed position. A shaped edge is formed on at least a portion of a perimeter of an upper surface of the resilient floor tile with a forming tool of the press die when the press die is in the closed position.

At least two metal bars are in the cavity. A metal trace connects a first metal bar and a second metal bar. In some instances, one or more dielectric layers can be disposed on surfaces of the substrate. Metal turns can be arranged in a solenoidal or toroidal configuration. The toroidal inductor can have tapered traces and/or thermal ground planes.
