Abstract: The present disclosure is concerned with improved curable adhesive compositions for anchoring elements in a structural body that exhibit low temperature versus standard temperature degree of cures that are at least 50% or higher. The compositions include, in a first portion, a reactive resin, an acetoacetoxy functional monomer and a silane monomer. By using phthalate-free constituents in the formulation, a further 10% increase in strength and durability of the resins at standard temperatures may be realized after curing at low temperatures. Improvements in the adhesive compositions that relate to increased shelf life are also presented.

  • Publication number: 20140016208
Abstract: Presently described are optical stacks comprising a first optical film comprising a plurality of structures comprising an optically active portion designed primarily to provide optical gain and optionally an optically in-active bonding portion disposed on a first surface bonded to a second optical film with a light-transmissive adhesive layer such that a portion of the structures penetrate the adhesive layer and a separation is provided between the adhesive layer and the first surface. In one embodiment, the optical stacks exhibit a combination of high peel strength and high retained brightness, particularly after aging. The adhesive layer preferably comprises an interpenetrating network of the reaction product of a polyacrylate component and a polymerizable monomer and the adhesive layer has an elastic modulus ranging from 100 to 2000 MPa at 25° C.

  • Publication number: 20140004290
Abstract: Provided herein is aerogel insulating material and a method of producing aerogel insulating material, the aerogel insulating material including an insulating layer containing aerogel particles, a adhesive-coating layer located at both surfaces of the insulating layer, and a lamination film surrounding the adhesive-coating layer, wherein the adhesive-coating layer has thermoplastic elastomer having a low glass transition temperature. The method of producing aerogel insulating material includes preparing (S10), coating (S20), drying (S30), cutting (S40), and laminating (S50). Therefore, according to the present disclosure, it is possible to embody aerogel insulating material for use in clothing and which may reduce migration of aerogel particles, and which may make the most of the advantage of aerogel, such as its light weight and the excellent insulating effect.
