Abstract: A machine for precisely delivering and affixing solid media for the purpose of creating prototypes of varying size and precision. The device would, with great precision, deliver uniform shaped media, of any size, made of plastic, carbon fiber, metal or other solid or hollow materials to a position precisely determined by a computer. Adhesive will be applied to each piece of media and an adhesive accelerant will be applied to the position the media is to be placed so that when the media contacts the prior placed media with adhesive accelerant applied, it will adhere fast. In this manner multiple pieces of uniform media can be adhered in an ever increasing number precisely positioned as determined by computer software and the computer controlled apparatus. Objects and prototypical shapes can then be created by the combination and adhesion of all the media parts.

Abstract: The method of this invention adheres a low emissivity radiant barrier material to an underlying lignocellulosic substrate within the primary manufacturing operation of the underlying lignocellulosic substrate. Thus, a radiant barrier covered substrate is formed by integrally joining the radiant barrier covering to a mat of lignocellulosic material during consolidation thereof with a first adhesive bonding material to form an underlying substrate. The integral joining operation can, for example, be accomplished by bonding the radiant barrier covering to a lignocellulosic mat in a product formation press. This is typically accomplished using a second adhesive bonding material for adhesion of the radiant barrier material to the lignocellulosic mat, and a first adhesive bonding material for consolidating the lignocellulosic mat to form a lignocellulosic substrate.

Excellent cutting action is assured by locking the guide blocks preparatory to a trimming operation. Abstract: A method for manufacturing a monolithic ceramic electronic component formed by using a laminate allows a plurality of types of ceramic green sheets to be laminated with ease and efficiency. The method enables a reduction in space for lamination. This method includes first, a ceramic green sheet with a predetermined shape is cut out of a long first ceramic green sheet supported on a carrier film by a cutting/laminating head. The cut-out ceramic green sheet is laminated to the cutting/laminating head. A card-like second ceramic green sheet supported on a carrier film is cut by a cutting/laminating head. The cut ceramic green sheets is laminated to the cutting/laminating head. A laminate is formed by performing each of the first and second steps plural times.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for making a friction clutch plate includes cutting a supply of friction material into a plurality of individual shaped segments. The cut segments are moved in a first horizontal linear direction to a position adjacent a shuttle assembly. At least a first cut segment is engaged by the shuttle assembly which transfers the first cut segment in a second horizontal linear direction which is substantially perpendicular to the first horizontal linear direction. The first cut segment is deposited in a first indexing fixture. The remaining cut segments are sequentially moved in the first horizontal linear direction to the position adjacent the shuttle assembly. At least a second cut segment is engaged by the shuttle assembly and is transferred in a third horizontal linear direction which substantially perpendicular to the first horizontal linear direction.

Abstract: A method for producing a strip-shaped object of any thickness, width and length, made up of stacked, partially glued together foil strips. According to said method, each of the foil strips is provided with adhesive strips applied across the width (u) of the foil strip on one side, and the adhesive strips are offset from each other on foil strips that directly follow each other. The foil strips are stacked to produce a foil strip stack, pressed against each other in the stacking direction and glued together in order to produce the strip-shaped object. In the process, a line of foil which is provided with adhesive strips crosswise to its longitudinal direction (x) is divided into at least two lines of foil strips of equal width in its longitudinal direction (u).
