Plural Temperature Regulators For Plural Zones Patents (Class 165/205)
  • Patent number: 5630324
Abstract: In a multiple type air conditioner system which includes a plurality of outdoor units and a plurality of indoor units, the plurality of outdoor units are connected with the plurality of indoor units through a communication line, address setting is attained by generating a random address from each of all the indoor units under a command of one of the outdoor units and generating a dummy address from each outdoor unit on the basis of the random address, by obtaining a correlative relationship between the outdoor and indoor units on the basis of a variation of a physical quantity of the outdoor unit connected to the indoor unit actually operated based on the dummy address, and by updating the addresses of all the outdoor and indoor units on the basis of the correlative relationships between all the outdoor and indoor units obtained through the step.

  • Patent number: 5602756
Abstract: An instrument for performing highly accurate PCR employing a sample block in microtiter tray format. The sample block has local balance and local symmetry. A three zone film heater controlled by a computer and ramp cooling solenoid valves also controlled by the computer for gating coolant flow through the block controls the block temperature. Constant bias cooling is used for small changes. Sample temperature is calculated instead of measured. A platen deforms plastic caps to apply a minimum acceptable threshold force for seating the tubes and thermally isolates them. A cover isolates the block. The control software includes diagnostics. An install program tests and characterizes the instrument. A new user interface is used. Disposable, multipiece plastic microtiter trays to give individual freedom to sample tubes are taught.

  • Patent number: 5602758
Abstract: An apparatus and method for preparing an indoor environmental conditioning system for spaces, for operation. The apparatus and method are advantageously configured for use with an indoor environmental conditioning system in which the spaces are provided with an indoor environmental conditioning input and an indoor environmental conditioning sensor, both operably connected to an indoor environmental conditioning source. Each space is further provided with means for actuating the indoor environmental conditioning source. The apparatus and method enable the indoor environmental conditioning system to be placed in an initial condition such that no space can receive, and no sensor report, indoor environmental conditioning. The indoor environmental conditioning inputs are actuated one at a time, and operably linked thereafter with the indoor environmental conditioning sensor which reports a change in environmental conditioning status.

  • Patent number: 5566879
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for centralized controlling of a plurality of temperature regulating devices by an existing network of power lines comprising a central control means provided to send or receive predetermined commands to and from a plurality of temperature regulating devices. Each of those devices comprises a communication means adapted to provide two way communication with the central control means, a microprocessor means adapted to store predetermined information received from the central control means, a temperature sensor means adapted to send signals to the microprocessor means and an output means adapted to supply power to temperature varying units. The system further includes a network protecting means adapted to regulate the supply of power to output supply means during sudden change in power supply or due to changes in temperature conditions and a locking means adapted to prevent an unauthorized entry to change temperature condition.
