Abstract: An assembly for facilitating steering of an agricultural implement linkable to a work vehicle is disclosed. The assembly comprises at least a first ground-engaging wheel to engage a ground surface below a frame of the agricultural implement to support the frame above the ground surface. The assembly further comprises a positioning system for receiving a positioning signal from a positioning source. The positioning system determines a current position of the agricultural implement from at least the positioning signal, and the positioning system generates a control signal derived from the current position of the agricultural implement. The assembly further comprises a steering cylinder connected to the first ground-engaging wheel. The steering cylinder operatively connects to the positioning system to steer the first ground-engaging wheel based on the control signal.

Abstract: An agricultural implement system is provided that includes a valve in fluid communication with first and second actuating cylinders and with first and second fluid conduits. The valve is configured to control fluid flow from the first and second fluid conduits to the first and second actuating cylinders. Furthermore, a controller is communicatively coupled to first and second pressure sensors and to the valve. The first pressure sensor is coupled to the first fluid conduit, and the second pressure sensor is coupled to the second fluid conduit. The controller is configured to determine whether the first fluid conduit or the second fluid conduit is supplying fluid to the valve based on signals from the first and second pressure sensors, and to automatically control fluid flow to the first and second actuating cylinders such that wheel assemblies are rotated to a desired angle relative to an implement frame.
Abstract: A combination is described of a tractor (10) and an implement (12) which is pulled by the tractor (10), by means of a draw bar (14) coupled to the tractor (10) so as to be pivotable about the vertical axis, is supported on the ground by wheels (28) and comprises a cultivating element (30) for cultivating a field (64). A control device (36) is used to activate a first actuator (40) with which the position of the draw bar (14) in relation to the implement (16) can be changed. The control device (36) activates the first actuator (40) in such a manner that the latter adjusts the draw bar (14) with the effect of moving the implement (16) towards an outside of a curve.

Abstract: A land roller implement includes a wheel aligned with the respective gap between the inner roller and the outer roller of each wing in which the wheel is pivotal between a packing position in the working position of the rollers and a transport position supporting the rollers in the transport position of the implement. The wings can also include a drive motor associated with each transport wheel to drive forward rotation of the wheel for displacing the wings from the transport position to the working position without displacing the implement in a rearward direction. A levelling beam attachment and a seeding attachment can also optionally be used on the land roller implement. Optional latchable brace members pivotally supported on the wings may provide additional support to the wings when using the levelling beam attachment.

Abstract: An implement includes a caster wheel pivotally attached to the implement to support the implement for movement. A steering link is engaged with the caster wheel, and an actuator is operative to move the steering link from a neutral position to a controlling position. When the steering link is in the neutral position, the caster wheel can pivot about the caster axis through a 360 degree pivot range. When the steering link is moved to the controlling position, the caster wheel is oriented to roll toward a first side of the implement.
Abstract: An agricultural implement is provided that includes a hitch assembly configured to couple the agricultural implement to a tow vehicle. The agricultural implement also includes a carrier frame pivotally coupled to the hitch assembly by a main pivot joint such that the main pivot joint resists substantially all lateral loads between the carrier frame and the hitch assembly. The agricultural implement further includes a pair of wheel assemblies each rotatably coupled to the carrier frame by a respective knuckle pivot joint, and an actuator assembly configured to rotate each wheel assembly about the respective knuckle pivot joint while the agricultural implement is in both a working and transport position.

Abstract: An agricultural implement has a working position extending laterally behind a towing tractor and a transport position in which it is towed endwise behind the tractor. The implement has ground wheels that support the implement in both working and transport positions. These are rotatably mounted on the implement frame and are coupled to the hitch pole and the instrument by a steering linkage so that as the hitch pole moves between its working and transport positions, the wheels are steered between their respective working and transport positions.
Abstract: In general, the remote control of a caster wheel assembly on a farm implement such as a crop sprayer of the type including a boom rotatable between a transport position and a field position is a complicated operation. In the transport position, the wheel assembly should be fixed, i.e. non-castering and in the field position the wheel assembly should caster freely. A relatively simple apparatus for effecting caster wheel assembly control includes a frame mounted on the boom, a hydraulic cylinder on the frame, and a linkage connected to the piston rod of the cylinder and releasably connected to an arm on the shaft carrying the wheel assembly, whereby initial extension of the piston rod moves the wheel assembly to a turning position, full piston rod extension causes release and thus free castering of the wheel assembly in the field position, and retraction of the piston rod causes re-engagement of the wheel assembly by the linkage to lock the wheel assembly in the transport position.
Abstract: A reversible multi-disc plow has its main frame, to which the plow beam is pivoted, connected in front by a vertical pivot to a mounting frame which made for connection to the three point lifting system of a tractor. The pivotal movement of the main frame relative to the mounting frame is resisted by a spring loaded pivot box. If, during plowing, a disc strikes an obstacle, the plow main frame will pivot against the spring-loading to reduce stress on the plow and its parts.
