Abstract: A composite gasket for sealing and EMI shielding is provided. The gasket has a resilient conductive mesh sheet embedded with an elastomer gel layer. The conductive mesh is corrugated to provide a series of repeating waveforms, providing the gasket with a lower deflection force, better corrosion resistance, and a higher EMI shielding capability. A second elastomer can be used around the edge portions of the gasket for improved abrasion resistance and increased tensile strength. A fiberglass sheet can be incorporated in the mesh for added reinforcement and support. The gaskets of the invention can be used on external aircraft components, such as external aircraft antenna mounts.

Abstract: A gasket comprises a main portion having first and second ends, a parallel leg extending perpendicularly from each of the first and second ends, and a step portion extending perpendicularly from each of the other end of the legs. The main portion and leg form an opening that is sized and dimensioned to receive a shell of a connector. A layer of nickel plated metalized nylon fabric wrapped over polyurethane foam. One side of the layer bonds to the interior surfaces of the main portion and leg that form the opening and the other side of the layer is adapted to urge against the shell of the HDMI connector. A section of the layer extends beyond the widths of the main and legs. The section is adapted to urge against a faceplate to maintain an electrical-conductive path between the shell of the HDMI connector and the surface of the faceplate.

Abstract: Provided is an electromagnetic interference shielding gasket, which includes an elastomer, a soldering prevention part disposed in at least one region of a side surface and a bottom surface of the elastomer, and an electrode disposed on the bottom surface of the elastomer. Even when solder cream for attaching the EMI shielding gasket to a printed circuit board is pushed from the bottom surface of the EMI shielding gasket by its surface tension and solder-rising, the solder cream stays in the soldering prevention part without moving upward along the side surface of the EMI shielding gasket. Accordingly, the reliability of soldering can be ensured without sacrificing elastic resilient force of the EMI shielding gasket.
