  • Patent number: 10001110
Abstract: In one illustrative embodiment, a wind-driven charging system includes a wind-driven rotation device coupled to a rotatable shaft, and a plurality of electric generators disposed at different longitudinal locations along the rotatable shaft and each of the plurality of electric generators are rotationally driven simultaneously by the rotatable shaft. By having the electric generators disposed at different longitudinal locations, more electric generators may be simultaneously driven by a common shaft. In some instances, a controller may be configured to enable more of the electric generators to provide electrical current to recharge a battery when the speed of rotation of the rotatable shaft increases, and may disable more of the plurality of electric generators to not provide electrical current when the speed of rotation of the rotatable shaft decreases.

  • Patent number: 9884558
Abstract: In an electric vehicle having a primary battery powered source of energy with a primary electric motor driven and connected to one or more ground engagement wheels of the electric vehicle, has a device utilizing a sprocket and chain for collecting energy from the inner rim edge of the rear wheel of the electric vehicle. This sprocket mechanism device collects this energy then transfers that energy to a plurality of alternators on mounted framework such as in the trunk compartment by way of a chain. The alternators with their sitting pilot voltages, then transfer it by electrically conductive cables to the battery.

  • Patent number: 9878682
Abstract: A charge controller for a vehicle passive energy system employs an interface to a plurality of charge sources including intermittent sources, such as vehicle mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) panels and the vehicle engine and alternator, and an interface to a plurality of charge loads, such as a comfort heating ventilation, refrigeration and air conditioning (HVAC) system and auxiliary vehicle loads. Charge logic computes which of the plurality of sources will supply the charge current and which of the plurality of loads will receive the charge current, and a switch responsive to the charge logic will direct the charge current from at least one of the plurality of sources to at least one of the loads, the plurality of charge sources mutually exclusive from simultaneously powering a common load.

  • Patent number: 9841003
Abstract: A fluidic rotor rotary machine has a rotor comprising at least one blade (4) mounted on an arm (2) rotating about a main axis (1) of the rotor, the rotor being held by a support structure (5) in an orientation such that said axis (1) is essentially perpendicular to the fluid flow direction, the blade (4) being pivotally mounted about a rotational axis (3) parallel to the main axis (1), the machine being characterized in that it comprises means for generating a relative rotational movement of the blade (4) relative to the arm (2) at the rotational axis (3), thereby varying the blade angle, said means comprising an eccentric mechanism rotating on said blade rotational axis. Application in particular to propellers and generators operating according to Lipp-type or Voith-Schneider-type kinematics, with possible mode switching.

  • Patent number: 9802492
Abstract: A system comprising an air intake structure, a tunnel structure, and an energy generation device is described. The air intake structure may include a first entrance and a first exit. The air intake structure may receive air directed towards the first entrance. A size difference between the first entrance and the first exit may cause a compression of the received air into first compressed air. The tunnel structure may include a second entrance and a second exit. The tunnel structure may receive the first compressed air. A size difference between the second entrance and the second exit may cause a compression of the first compressed air into second compressed air. The energy generation device may receive the second compressed air, and may transform a portion of the second compressed air into energy. The system may further include elements effective to facilitate cooling of components of a vehicle.
