Stations are disposed in the valve body and extend from a first end to a second end; each station comprises piston stations extending through the valve body and a bypass station fluidly isolating the first end from the second end. The piston stations comprise a piston bore and a piston. The bypass stations comprise first and second fluid passages extending from the first and second ends to positions inside the valve body. Outlet bores extend into the valve body, and each comprises first and second sets of outlet bores. Porting forms passageways connecting the stations to each other and with the outlet bores such that when high pressure fluid is applied to the inlet the pistons reciprocates from the first end to the second end in sequence.

  • Patent number: 9303814
Abstract: A system for automatically delivering lubricant to at least one bearing (16) has a lubricant pump (1) feeding lubricant under pressure through a supply line (3) to an injector (4). The injector, driven by the lubricant, sends a measured amount of lubricant down feed line (14) to bearing (16). A pressurizing valve (15) maintains injection pressure in the feed line (14) enabling any failure of supply to be detected as a pressure drop at pressure switch (2). Preferred features include the incorporation of a second pressurizing valve (12) at the injector end of the feed line (14), a blocked-line vent valve (13) to enable detection of a blocked or crushed feed line, and check valves (10) and (11). The injector (4) is preferably configured to produce a higher pressure at the outlet than the inlet, and various versions of this intensifying injector are described and claimed.

Abstract: A lubricant injector is provided including a body having a passageway, an inlet, an outlet, and an aperture for lubricant to flow from a measuring chamber into the passageway. A piston is slidable along the passageway. When the piston is in a retracted position, a discharge chamber is present in the passageway between the piston and the outlet. A biasing spring is disposed in the passageway for urging the piston towards the retracted position. The injector has a rest mode, wherein no pressurized lubricant is supplied to the inlet, and the piston is retracted. The injector has a pressurized mode wherein the piston is under pressure and is moved to its extended position to urge lubricant out the outlet. In the rest mode, the spring urges the piston towards its retracted position to create the discharge chamber and to open the aperture between the measuring chamber and the discharge chamber.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for metered dispensing of lubricants using a lubricant dispenser comprising a reservoir chamber filled with lubricant, a gas generating unit for electrochemically generating gas, a piston acted on by the generated gas for outputting the lubricant from the reservoir chamber, and an electronic control unit for controlling the electrochemical gas generation. According to the invention, the temperature of the lubricant or the environment is measured at time intervals, and an average temperature value is derived from a plurality of measured temperature values. Using stored correction values describing the temperature-dependence of the electrochemical gas generating rate, a control parameter determining the electrochemical gas generation is set for the average temperature value, having the requirement that the gas generating rate at the average temperature value corresponds to the target value that correlates to prescribed dispensing time.
