  • Patent number: 10408608
Abstract: An arrangement for aligning guide rails of an elevator, comprising a carrier moving upwards and downwards in an elevator shaft along guide rails, at least one plumb line being provided in the vicinity of each guide rail. A laser scanner is attached fixedly or movably to the carrier or to the guide rail or to an apparatus, which is supported on walls of the elevator shaft and/or on the carrier. The horizontal position of the guide rail in relation to the plumb line is determined with the laser scanner.

  • Patent number: 10161394
Abstract: A counterweighted well pumping unit comprises two or more reversible motors, each of which is directly and operatively connected to a rotatable drive component mounted on a support structure positioned over a wellhead. For each motor, an elongate, flexible drive element is trained over the associated rotatable drive component, with one end of the flexible drive element connected to a counterweight assembly and the other end connected to a pump rod string associated with the wellhead. Actuation of the motors rotates the rotatable drive components, thus causing the drive elements to move the pump rod string and the counterweight assembly in opposite vertical directions. The rotational direction of the drive motors is alternated so as to alternate the directions of vertical movement of the pump rod string and the counterweight. The counterweight assembly may be concentric with or offset from the wellhead.

  • Publication number: 20090050414
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for equalizing the rope force of a traction sheave elevator, said elevator comprising at least a hoisting machine (5) and a traction sheave (6) connected to it and an elevator car (1), which is suspended on a set of hoisting ropes (3) and fitted to move along guide rails (4), the rope suspension of said elevator comprising a rope force compensating device (20). The compensating device (20) comprises at least a first tensioning device (21) and a second tensioning device (22). The hoisting ropes in the set of hoisting ropes (3) are secured by one end to a point in conjunction with the first tensioning device (21) and by the other end to a point in conjunction with the second tensioning device (22). The rotary motions of the tensioning devices (21) and (22) are interconnected via a transmission ratio.

  • Patent number: 7040456
Abstract: An elevator system includes a roller arrangement and a belt for supporting an elevator car. The roller arrangement has two rollers with approximately parallel axes of rotation and structured circumferential surfaces engaging a complementary structured surface of the belt. The structured surfaces have alternating ribs and grooves. The belt is twisted about its longitudinal axis between the two rollers to keep the structured surfaces in contact and forms an under-looping for support of the elevator car.

  • Patent number: 6045317
Abstract: A vehicle including an elevatable cargo box to facilitate cargo loading and unloading. The vehicle includes a U-shaped cargo area within which the cargo box is located by mounted guides. The cargo box is movable between elevated and lowered positions by cables, which is operated by a drive system and is laterally secured in the elevated position by cones being fully registered within blocks. In a preferred embodiment, the cargo box is retrofitted to an existing vehicle. A series of cables is connected to corners of the cargo box and a drive is operably connected to the series of cables for retracting and extending the cables effecting the movement of the cargo box.

  • Patent number: 5533595
Abstract: In a traction-type elevator equipped with a driving sheave (16) positioned at the top of the shaft for ascent and descent (1), cage sheaves (4, 5) are attached to the upper section of the cage (2) and are inclined in relation to this driving sheave (16), and multiple ropes (12, 13, 14) are wound around the outer surface (4a) of this cage sheave and the outer surface (16a) of the above-mentioned driving sheave; the traction-type elevator is characterized in that along with making the outer surface (4a) of the above-mentioned cage sheave (4) parallel to the outer surface (16a) of the driving sheave (16), this cage sheave (4) is divided into multiple sheave pieces (17, 18, 19) according to the abovementioned ropes (12, 13, 14). The ropes (12, 13, 14) are pulled by the driving sheave (16), and even if the cage (2) is caused to move upwardly or downwardly at a high speed, there is essentially no more generation of vibration and noise, because none of the abovementioned ropes (12, 13, 14) twists undesirably.
