Abstract: The coating of the pressure roller (3) of a drawing roller frame for spinning frames comprises an outer layer and an inner layer fixed to the core of the pressure roller. The outer layer is thinner and harder than the inner layer and is embodied as an endless belt (1) which loosely surrounds the inner layer such that the belt can be displaced in relation to the inner layer. In order to improve the running of the belt, the belt is guided over a deflector rail (2), the cross-sectional area (u) of the rail being wider than the average staple length of the fibre material (F) drawn on the drawing roller frame. Furthermore, the belt is designed in such a way that it comprises a double thread interlining, one thread interlining being wound counter to the second thread interlining such that the threads of one thread interlining cross the threads of the second thread interlining.

Abstract: The drawing mechanism for drawing textile fibers includes an input nip between a first pressure roller (6) and a first drafting roller (1), a first intermediate nip between a second pressure roller (7) and a second drafting roller (2), and an output nip between a third pressure roller (8) and a third drafting roller (3). Two additional nips are formed between a fourth and a fifth pressure rollers (9, 10) and the second drafting roller. A second intermediate nip is formed between a sixth pressure roller (11) and the second drafting roller (2). If the treated fibers are short, the draft occurs between the input nip (6 - 1) and the first intermediate nip (9 - 2), and between the second intermediate nip (10 - 2) and the output nip (8 - 3). If the fibers are long, pressure on the fourth and fifth pressure rollers (9, 10) is reduced. The draft zones then extend to the intermediate nips (7 - 2, 11 - 2). In this manner an adaptation to different fiber lengths is possible without alteration of the roller distances. .

  • Patent number: 4953349
Abstract: An apparatus for making a yarn consists of at least one ring spinning mechanism and a drawing mechanism, which precedes the ring spinning mechanism and defines at least one draft path for drawing a fibrous roving and includes two delivery rollers defining a clamping nip for the drawn roving, wherein one of said delivery rollers constitutes behind the clamping nip a guiding surface for deflecting the drawn roving. In order to increase the strength of the yarn, it is proposed that the delivery roller which constitutes the guiding surface for deflecting the roving constitutes at least near the delivery end of the guiding surface a slideway for guiding the roving transversely to its axis as the roving is twisted between the ring spinning mechanism and the drawing mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4592114
Abstract: A drafting roller arrangement for spinning machines is disclosed having at least three pairs of rollers forming successive drafting zones in the conveying direction of the sliver and having a sliver stopping device assigned to the first pair of rollers that can be triggered by a disturbance. In front of the last drafting zone, a sliver condenser having guide surfaces narrowingly tapering in the conveying direction of the sliver is arranged. The sliver condenser is provided with a threading slot extending in the conveying direction of the sliver and is held by means of a holding device in such a way that it can be moved out of the drafting zone transversely to the conveying direction toward the side facing away from the threading slot. This arrangement accommodates restarting of the drafting arrangement without the sliver condenser interfering with the sliver supplied to the last drafting zone.
