    Abstract: A position indicating circuit includes: first and second input terminals for respectively receiving first and second voltages; an output terminal; a first resistor; and a second resistor having a first terminal coupled to the first input terminal through the first resistor, a second terminal coupled to the second input terminal, and a third terminal coupled to the output terminal. The second resistor is used to be actuated by a pedal of a foot controller of a sewing machine such that a voltage at the output terminal has a magnitude related to a position of the pedal. A detecting system that uses the position indicating circuit and that can determine whether the foot controller is coupled to a main body of the sewing machine is also provided.

An inner ring trajectory groove is formed in the plug external peripheral surface, and the inner ring trajectory surface is formed in a groove bottom surface of the inner ring trajectory groove. Inner-ring-side restricting surfaces for restricting the needle rollers from moving in the center axis direction are formed in groove side surfaces on both sides of the inner ring trajectory groove. A wave generator can be obtained, which is suitable for increasing the hollow diameter of a strain wave gearing.

    Abstract: A brake activated accelerator override apparatus for an engine having a throttle plate pivotal between closed and open positions. First and second throttle levers are connected to the throttle plate. The first throttle lever is connected to the accelerator linkage for pivoting the throttle plate to an open position. A coupling spring is connected between the first and second throttle levers to jointly pivot the first and second throttle levers to the open position upon movement of the accelerator linkage and to permit independent movement of the second throttle lever to the closed position. A sensor detects actuation of the vehicle brakes and energizes an actuator connected to the second throttle lever to pivot the second throttle lever and the attached throttle plate to the closed position, independent of the first throttle lever. Preferably, the actuator is an electromechanical solenoid having an extensible plunger which is connected by a link to the second throttle lever.

    Abstract: In a motor driven automotive cruise control system, the engine throttle is progressively released upon actuation of the vehicle service brakes to avoid objectionable pedal slap noise. The release is initiated by the electric motor, which drives the engine throttle toward its closed (rest) position while maintaining engagement of a clutch connected therebetween. If the duration of the brake actuation exceeds a reference interval sufficiently long as to indicate potentially significant braking effort, the clutch is immediately disengaged to return the throttle to its closed position without further delay. If the duration of the brake actuation is less than the reference interval, engagement of the clutch is maintained until the motor has returned the throttle to its closed position.
