Electric Patents (Class 192/17C)
  • Patent number: 6164426
Abstract: At the electromagnetically controlled wrap around spring clutch a braking spring (14) designed as a wrap around spring is foreseen on the driven shaft (4) in addition to the clutch spring (8) acting between the driving shaft (3) and the driven shaft (4), which braking spring (14) is also switched by the control magnet (11), such that if the magnet is excited the driven shaft (4) is released, but at a currentless magnet the driven shaft (4) is immediately braked and blocked in the direction of the drive.

  • Patent number: 5038902
Abstract: This invention relates to a clutch device for a transmission wheel and a transmission shaft. Two brake rings surround a hub axle and are contained in a brake hub. The first brake ring is intermediate the hub axle and the second brake ring and arranged so that, due to a time differential of braking by an external force on the two brake rings, a bevel canal in the first brake ring braces against a loose pin inserted in the hub axle, forcing the loose pin to part from the transmission wheel. This achieves the purpose of separating the transmission wheel and the transmission shaft in order to instantly stop the work done by the transmission shaft, and is particularly effective with common machine tools. It may be used with a magnetic solenoid or a manual trigger control, pre-regulating the bolts for the slackness and tightness of brake linings, to successive action with a proper time differential.

  • Patent number: 4732016
Abstract: In a single-tank dehydration-type agitator-operated washing machine, the agitator and the dehydrating tank are driven by respective drive shafts which are operated by a clutch mechanism selectively in such a manner that the drive shafts are selectively rotated in association with each other or independently of each other. A brake band for operating the two drive shafts independently of each other and the clutch mechanism are operated by a lever. In order to positively engage the brake band with the lever, the lever is driven while the drive shafts are being rotated in one direction in association with each other. In order to cause the lever to engage with the brake band with a suitable timing, the brake band is provided with a collar-shaped engagement regulating plate having a cut formed therein.

  • Patent number: 4671395
Abstract: A control lever communicates with a plurality of additional levers and an electrical circuit. A PTO brake and electric clutch are responsive to the control lever and circuit for engagement and disengagement. The linkage system includes an electrically responsive inductor and magnetically responsive plate. When the PTO brake is disengaged and the clutch is engaged, the electrical circuit supplies current to the inductor which creates a magnetic field to capture the plate holding the brake and clutch in their respective modes. Upon actuation of the control lever or full application of an associated vehicle's wheel brakes, the circuit is disrupted to the inductor allowing a spring to act upon the linkage assembly to engage the PTO brake and causing the PTO clutch to be disengaged.

  • Patent number: 4240535
Abstract: A clutch assembly connectable to an electric motor and to another rotating unit includes a housing securable at one end to the housing of the electric motor and securable at the opposite end to the housing of the other rotating unit. A driven body within the clutch housing is rotatably mounted in a bearing supported in the clutch housing and is connectable in a driving manner to the other rotating unit. A drive body is connectable to the electric motor so as to be driven thereby and has radially movable centrifugal weights which engage and drive the driven body when the rotational speed of the drive body exceeds a predetermined value and which are disengaged from the driven body when the rotational speed is below the predetermined value.
