Received In Recesses In Each Of Two Cooperating Clutch Races Patents (Class 192/45.005)
  • Patent number: 11285584
Abstract: A magnetically assisted direction-changeable roller wrench has a main body, a driving member, a direction changing knob, plural rollers, a magnetic balancing member, and a magnetic positioning unit. The driving member, the rollers, and the direction changing knob are mounted in a head portion of the main body. The magnetic positioning unit includes a first and a second magnetic member located respectively on the driving member and the direction changing knob. The corresponding surfaces of the first and the second magnetic members have the same magnetic polarity, so a predetermined distance can be maintained between the first and the second magnetic members to secure the direction changing knob in position. The direction changing knob can displace each roller into contact with an engaging surface of the corresponding side of the driving member. The magnetic balancing member and the magnetic positioning unit lie in opposite directions to enable balanced magnetic attraction.

  • Patent number: 9803699
Abstract: A slip clutch assembly includes a clutch carrier, a one-way clutch assembly, and a preloaded clutch assembly. The one-way clutch assembly has a portion fixed to the clutch carrier. The preloaded clutch assembly has a first clutch plate, a second clutch plate, and a resilient element. The first clutch plate is drivingly engaged with the carrier. The second clutch plate is arranged for driving engagement with a first portion of a transmission. The resilient element is for compressing the first and second clutch plates. In some example embodiments, the one-way clutch assembly has an outer race, an inner race, and a plurality of blocking elements. The outer race is fixed to the clutch carrier. The inner race is arranged to engage a second portion of the transmission. The blocking elements are selected from the group of rollers or sprags for selectively locking the outer race to the inner race and are disposed radially between the outer race and inner race.

  • Patent number: 9523409
Abstract: A torque fluctuation absorbing apparatus comprises a first plate member, a second plate member disposed at a position axially offset from the first plate member, an intermediate plate member that is disposed between the first plate member and the second plate member and has a frictional sliding surface mating with the second plate member, rolling elements disposed so as to roll between the intermediate plate member and the first plate member, and resilient member that allows the intermediate plate member and the first plate member to rotate relative to each other. The intermediate plate member and the first plate member have acting sections on a surface whereon at least one of the rolling elements rolls, the acting sections press the intermediate plate member against the second plate member by a relative rotation between the intermediate plate member and the first plate member.

  • Patent number: 9285055
Abstract: A self lock mechanism for rotating actuators, which allow rotation from one side while deny rotation from the other side, comprising sets of rollers arranged between a housing and a valve connection part, configured with a special shape to cause locking if the mechanism is attempted twisted from the valve side, a motor connection part to press rollers out of locking position and release the locking before the motor connection part makes contact with the valve connection part and start transferring torque. The rollers may be separated and kept in place by a wing on the valve connection part or by springs.

  • Publication number: 20140231207
Abstract: An electromagnetic clutch includes a rotatable input member and a rotatable output member. A clutch plate is fixed for rotation with one of the input member and the output member. An armature plate is axially moveable relative to the other of the input member and the output member. A self-energizing actuator includes energizing elements for converting rotary motion of the input member to linear movement of the armature plate. The actuator includes a biasing member urging relative rotation between the one of the input member and the output member and the armature plate to initially engage the armature plate and the clutch plate. The self-energizing actuator provides an additional clutch engagement force once the input member is driven and also includes an electromagnet to axially translate the armature plate and disengage the armature plate and the clutch plate.

  • Publication number: 20140069761
Abstract: A roller clutch including an outer race, an inner race, a first engagement member situated between the outer race and the inner race, and a second engagement member situated between the outer race and the inner race. The first engagement member is configured to engage the outer race and the inner race to transmit torque between the outer race and the inner race only in response to the inner race turning in a positive direction and applying negative torque to the first engagement member. The second engagement member is configured to engage the outer race and the inner race to transmit torque between the outer race and the inner race in response to the inner race applying positive torque to the second engagement member while the outer race applies negative torque to the second engagement member.
