  • Patent number: 8910765
Abstract: A left and right interchanging device for a lock clutch includes a clutch pin, an inner rotary clutch shaft, and an outer rotary clutch shaft. The clutch pin is movably placed in a hole of the inner rotary clutch shaft and connected with a built-in driving module of the inner rotary clutch shaft. The module controls the clutch pin so that the clutch pin can retract into or extend out of the inner rotary clutch shaft. The inner rotary clutch shaft is placed in a central hole of the outer rotary clutch shaft, and both can rotate about a same central axis. A first stop edge and a second stop edge are provided on the inner rotary clutch shaft and connected with a driving output shaft. A third stop edge and a fourth stop edge are provided on the outer rotary clutch shaft and connected with a driving output and input shaft. When a door is left-opened, the third stop edge correspondingly contacts the clutch pin and the fourth stop edge correspondingly contacts the second stop edge.

The arresting apparatus includes a first arresting means having a longitudinal axis and at least one first engaging element, and a second arresting means having an opening and at least one second engaging element. In a first mode of operation, the first arresting means extends through a first section of the opening of the second arresting means such that it is freely rotatable and the first engaging element and the second engaging element are distanced from each other. In a second mode of operation, the first arresting means is misaligned and extends through a second section of the opening of the second arresting means such that the first engaging element and the second engaging element engage and arrest the first arresting means relative to the second arresting means.

Abstract: A ratchet hub using a magnetic force for restoration as disclosed has a freewheel unit and a ratchet ring thereof forming a unidirectional ratchet mechanism and a magnetic assembly using a magnetically repulsive force to normally make the freewheel unit and ratchet ring engage mutually and allow force transmission therebetween. Once a force disengaging the freewheel unit from the ratchet ring surpasses the magnetically repulsive force, the ratchet ring is pushed away from the freewheel unit. When the force disengaging the freewheel unit from the ratchet ring disappears, the magnetically repulsive force automatically and promptly returns the ratchet ring to engage with the freewheel unit again.

Abstract: A magnetic system for controlling the operating mode of an overrunning coupling assembly is provided. The system includes a ferromagnetic or magnetic element received within a pocket in an uncoupling position and is movable outwardly from the pocket to a coupling position. The element controls the operating mode of the coupling assembly. An armature is connected to the element to move the element between the coupling and uncoupling positions. A magnetic field sensor is disposed adjacent and stationary with respect to the element for sensing magnetic flux to produce an output signal which is based on the position of the element. A variable magnetic field is generated in response to movement of the element between the coupling and uncoupling positions.

Abstract: A ratchet mechanism of a hub assembly is located between the hub and the tubular portion, and includes a driving member which is movable linearly in the tubular portion. One side of the driving member has a cone-shaped first ratchet portion located axially and is composed of two triangular contact surfaces. A passive member is fixed in the hub and has a cone-shaped second ratchet portion which is engaged with the first ratchet portion. A returning member is located between the hub and the driving member. The passive member is fixed to the hub easily. Abstract: The present invention broadly comprises a stator and clutch assembly in a torque converter. The stator has a segment radially disposed between stator blades and a stator axis. The one-way clutch has a plate connected to a hub. The segment forms a portion of the clutch and the stator is axially displaceable to control operation of the clutch. A displacement element urges the stator in a first axial direction. The stator is arranged to move in a second axial direction, opposite the first axial direction, in response to pressure from fluid in the torque converter. In some aspects, the displacement element is selected from the group consisting of a coil spring and a wave spring. In some aspects, the one-way clutch is arranged to disengage when the stator is sufficiently displaced in the first direction and to engage when the stator is sufficiently displaced in the second direction.

The driving gear includes a pawl pivoted on a first surface and an elastic member disposed in a slot of the driving gear. The driven gear includes a ratchet disposed on a second surface facing the first surface. When the driving gear rotates with a driving speed along a driving direction, a centrifugal force is generated to drive the pawl moving to a clutching position to be engaged with the ratchet and drives the driven gear rotating with the driving gear. When the driving gear rotates with a nominal speed slower than the driving speed along a direction opposite to the driving direction, the engagement between the pawl and the ratchet is released, and the pawl is back to a nominal position so the driven gear does not rotate with the driving gear.
