  • Patent number: 11859674
Abstract: A clutch device includes a clutch center and a pressure plate operable to move toward or away from the clutch center and rotatable relative to the clutch center. The pressure plate includes a pressure-side cam portion. The clutch center includes a center-side cam portion. The pressure plate includes a boss extending in movement directions. The clutch center includes a through hole in which a boss is insertable. The through hole extends along circumferential directions and allows movement of the boss along the circumferential directions and the movement directions. Abstract: Clutch arrangement for a motor vehicle gearbox. The clutch arrangement has a housing and a clutch. The clutch is arranged in the housing and is arranged concentrically with a shaft, which extends in a longitudinal axis. The shaft is supported on the housing by means of a first shaft bearing adjacent to the clutch and by means of a second shaft bearing spaced at an axial distance from the clutch. The clutch arrangement has an actuator arrangement for actuating the clutch. The actuator arrangement is designed to exert an actuating force on the clutch in a first longitudinal direction. The actuator arrangement here being axially braced on the housing and a force flux being introduced into the shaft as a result of the actuating force. The first shaft bearing is arranged so that the force flux introduced into the shaft can be axially braced on the housing by way of the first shaft bearing.

Abstract: A rotating clutch operably disposed between two rotating components includes a hydraulic operator having a piston and, on one side of the piston, an apply chamber or cavity and, on the opposite side of the piston, a balance chamber or cavity. The apply chamber is selectively provided with pressurized hydraulic fluid to engage and release the clutch to couple and de-couple the two rotating components. The balance chamber is provided with a flow of pressurized hydraulic fluid from the transmission lubrication system that flows through the transmission main shaft and flow restricting passages to the balance chamber. An exhaust port downstream of the balance chamber releases excess hydraulic fluid flow. Thus, whether, the clutch is rotating or not, hydraulic pressure is maintained in the balance chamber and proper clutch operation is assured.
