  • Patent number: 11879505
Abstract: An electromagnetic clutch is provide that includes a fixed component, a driven component and an elastic component. The fixed component includes a magnetic yoke provided thereon with multiple iron cores, and each iron core is provided thereon with a coil. The driven component includes an armature disc provided thereon with multiple magnets. The armature disc and the magnetic yoke are disposed correspondingly, and the iron cores and the magnets are disposed correspondingly. The elastic component is used to keep the armature disc at a disengaged position from magnetic yoke. When the coil is energized in a forward direction, the iron core attracts the magnet and when the coil is energized in a reverse direction, the iron core generates an electromagnetic force to reduce an attractive force of the magnet.

  • Patent number: 9568050
Abstract: The electromagnetic frictional engagement apparatus includes a housing member in which a housing space is formed, a clutch portion that couples the housing member in a disengageable manner to a shaft disposed so as to be rotatable relative to the housing member, and an electromagnetic coil that generates a magnetic force that actuates the clutch portion. The clutch portion has an outer clutch plate and an inner clutch plate that forms a magnetic path for a magnetic flux generated by the electromagnetic coil. Lubrication grooves through which a lubricant flows are formed in the inner clutch plate. Among the lubrication grooves, the total of groove areas of a portion of the lubrication grooves that is included in the magnetic path is 90 to 110% of a maximum lubrication groove area, so that magnetic flux density resulting from saturation of the magnetic path with magnetic fluxes is not reduced.

  • Patent number: 6443287
Abstract: A clutch for connecting a flywheel (1) on a drive shaft (2) of an engine with a driven shaft (15) of a gearbox. The flywheel (1) is connected to a clutch cover (7) and between them there is disposed an axially movable pressure plate (8). A clutch disc (9), which is non-rotationally connected to the driven shaft (15), can be clamped between the pressure plate (8) and the flywheel (2) by means of a spring (21) which forces the pressure plate (8) against the flywheel (2). By operating an actuator device (44), the spring's (21) connection with the pressure plate (8) can be broken. According to the invention the clutch comprises a swivel being arranged between the actuator and the driven shaft. The swivel is for transferring a pressure fluid or an electric current to the actuator which may be a hydraulic or an electric actuator.
