Abstract: The present disclosure provides workpiece feed systems, methods and assemblies comprising one or more tapered feed rolls positioned at an angle to incoming workpieces. The tapered feed rolls may pull individual workpieces toward a guide while gradually accelerating the workpieces and altering their direction of travel. The angle and speed of rotation of the tapered feed rolls may be automatically adjusted to control workpiece speed/acceleration, providing improved gap control and minimizing collisions between successive workpieces. Tapered feed rolls may therefore reduce or eliminate the need for a conventional bridge to decelerate the workpieces after the directional change, reducing the operational space required by a workpiece feed system.

Abstract: A transmission device for thin and brittleness substrate is disclosed, which comprises: a plurality of transportation rollers and a plurality of pinch rollers. Each transportation roller further comprises: a rigid spindle; and a plurality of elastic supporting wheels, mounted on the spindle. Each pinch roller comprises: a sleeve; a spindle, ensheathed in the sleeve; and a plurality of pressing wheels, mounted on the sleeve at positions corresponding to the supporting wheels. When the transportation rollers are driven to rotate, a substrate sandwiched between the supporting wheels and the pressing wheels will be push to move while subjecting to a friction originated from a sufficient holding force by the supporting wheels and the pressing wheels, and consequently, providing an improved buffering capability for deformation absorption that enables the transmission device to guide the thin substrate to move smoothly without causing buckling or scratching to the thin substrate.

Abstract: A vacuum apparatus, which conveys a large-sized substrate and saves space, is provided. The vacuum apparatus of the present invention comprises pluralities of lower rollers, pressing rollers and pressing mechanisms. Since the substrate is sandwiched by the lower rollers and the pressing rollers at a position between the conveying roller and the conveying roller, the substrate does not fall down. The substrate contacts the pressing rollers and pushes the pressing roller back, and is sandwiched between the pressing roller and the lower roller, so that the substrate is not damaged when sandwiched.

Abstract: The invention comprises a conveying device for mail piece goods, and a method for the automatic oriented placement of such piece goods in a container. The piece goods are discharged individually into the container via a slide. The slide is has two rolls in the region of the lower planar section of the conveying area. The rolls are power-operated at speeds that are different from each other, have a great section of the conveying area. The rolls are power-operated at speeds that are different from each other, have a great coefficient of friction on the surface thereof, and provide the piece goods with a defined speed in order for the piece goods to be dropped into the container in a targeted manner, be oriented properly, and be stacked. The closer one roll lies to the discharge end, the greater the speed of said roll is selected relative to another roll.

Abstract: The invention concerns a device for driving load conveyors or transporters characterized in that it is in the form of a driving and guiding means (4), integrated in a line of conveyors or transporters (1 and 2) and extending along the longitudinal axis of said conveyors or transporters (1 and 2), perpendicularly to their plane and essentially formed by the combination of a driving belt (5), arranged along at least one longitudinal edge or in the extension of longitudinal edges of at least one conveyor or transporter (1 and 2) or two successive conveyors or transporters (1 and 2), and of a guide applying (6) the loads against the driving belt (5), arranged along the longitudinally opposite edges. The invention is more particularly applicable in the filed of conveying by means of pallet conveyors or transporters, in particular with change of rate of transport and/or of level between conveyors.

  • Patent number: 7467717
Abstract: An automatic failed roll condom detection and removal apparatus wherein failed roll condoms are rapidly removed from a testing mandrel such that shut down of the testing and handling equipment is not required. Detection means detect the presence of a failed roll condom on a testing mandrel as it returns from the testing and removal station and ejection means remove the failed roll condom from the mandrel. The ejection means has a series of rotating brushes having relatively stiff bristles, the brushes being mounted on a reciprocating carriage in ascending manner in the mandrel return travel direction. When a failed roll condom is detected, the shuttle carriage return rate is slowed and the rotating brushes are brought into contact with the failed roll mandrel, each brush in succession pushing or rolling the condom higher on the mandrel until the final brush ejects the condom.
