Casing Or Load Supporting Floor With Door Patents (Class 198/735.4)
  • Patent number: 11261031
Abstract: A conveyor pan for a chain scraper conveyor comprises a bottom plate and a pair of side profiles fixed to the bottom plate by welding. The conveyor pan has an increased wear resistance, in particular due to a specific geometry of a weld groove formed between the profile rails of the side profile and the bottom plate. The weld groove extends deeper into each profile rail, resulting in a more durable weld connection during use of the conveyor pan. In addition, a geometry of a pocket member for connecting adjacent conveyor pans and an inspection opening formed in the bottom plate have also been improved to result in an increased strength of the conveyor pan.

  • Patent number: 9132963
Abstract: The invention relates to a multipart chain fixing device for securing at least one conveyor chain on a trough element of especially an underground scraper chain conveyor. The fixing device comprises a bridge part (60), which has a bridge bar (62) that at least partially overlaps the conveyor chain in a positive-locking manner and ends in two lateral side end portions (61). It also comprises two side parts (70), which are fastenable to the trough element pan and to which the side end portions 61 are releasably securable by positive-locking means. For providing a chain fixing device, inclusive of the associated trough element and the individual components, which offer increased safety in underground usage, combined with simple assembly, the side parts (70) are releasably fastenable in a positive-locking manner in cavities in the conveyor floor of the trough element.

  • Patent number: 8807329
Abstract: A chain drive system for a bi-parting slatted floor in a drive system relies upon two continuous loops of chain, one on each side of the slatted floor that move in opposite directions beneath the slats are arranged side-by-side in the same horizontal plane, at the same level. A single drive motor drives both loops of chain. With the operative portions of the chain sections between drive and idler shafts arranged side-by-side in the same horizontal plane, the vertical amount of space occupied by the chains is significantly decreased compared to the vertically stacked chains of the prior art. This allows the underlying surface onto which items are deposited to be moved vertically upward next to the lower surface of the slatted floor.

  • Patent number: 8727108
Abstract: A belt conveyor apparatus includes a tube sloping from a hopper at the lower intake. A belt passes along a floor of the hopper then up through the tube. The hopper floor has edge portions curving upward such that as the belt moves along the floor, side portions of the belt curve upward. Hopper sidewalls extend upward and outward from bottom inner edges thereof located above right and left sides of the middle portion of the belt, and outer edges of the belt are thus located under the sidewalls. Seal strips are to the sidewalls with lower edges sealing to right and left sides of the middle portion of the belt such that pockets are formed under the sidewalls between the curved side portions of the belt and the seal strips. A trap opening in the tube also allows oilseeds to drop out of the tube from under the belt.

  • Patent number: 8678181
Abstract: A conveyor belt roller guard comprises opposite first and second longitudinal side panels, opposite transverse side panels, and a bottom panel. The first and second longitudinal side panels, the transverse side panels, and the bottom panel are arranged in a manner adapted to define a u-shaped trough that comprises a cavity that is open from above. The first longitudinal side panel has a lower portion that is hinged relative to the transverse side panels about a first pivot axis in a manner such that the first longitudinal side panel can be swung downward while the bottom panel and the transverse side panels remain stationary. The first pivot axis extends substantially horizontal and parallel to the first longitudinal side panel.

  • Patent number: 7866459
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a slide gate 201 for use in conveyor systems that include permanent magnets 221 to hold slide gate components in place relative to a conveyor trough 202, while allowing the slide gate 201 to slide between open and closed positions relative to an opening or cutout 219 formed in the conveyor floor. The slide gate 201 is controllably opened and closed by an actuator system and can be magnetically attached to the actuator system 215 such that the slide gate 201 is attached to the conveyor system entirely through magnetic force. Magnetic attachment of the slide gate 201 provides improved performance, ease of cleaning, and safety compared to known slide gate systems.

  • Patent number: 6401912
Abstract: A conveyor pan assembly, and a corresponding conveyor line, for an armored face conveyor is provided wherein each pan assembly has a replaceable upper deck plate fabricated of wear-resistant steel. A lower support plate of mild steel is mechanically attached, such as by structural welds, to spaced tabs projecting inwardly from opposed parallel sidewalls. The lateral edges of the deck plate mate with grooves formed in the adjacent sidewalls above the projecting tabs. One or more slots formed in the underside of the support plate receive structural welds that assist in holding the deck plate in place. No structural welds holding the upper deck plate in place are exposed to wear created by the flights, coal or other aggregate material moving along the conveyor feed path. The sidewalls remain separated by the lower support plate when the deck plate is removed during replacement.
