Abstract: An apparatus for extending the wear life of flight bars used in chain-driven scraper conveyor systems by using a replaceable bar end. The bar end is securely attached to the flight bar body by a tongue protruding through an aperture in the bar end and interlocking with the clamp that secures the flight bar to the drive chain, without the use of additional fasteners. The replaceable bar end may be made from a different material than the body of the flight bar. Therefore, a wear resistant material could be used for the bar end, with the bar body and clamp made from conventional, typically more ductile materials. This invention therefore allows for the flight bar end to be replaced as required saving the cost of the main flight bar body and clamp.

  • Patent number: 7104392
Abstract: Toggle retainers are disclosed for toggle connection assemblies of conveyor pans of a chain scraper conveyor or guide troughs of a mining machine guide used in underground mining operations. The toggle retainers feature laterally open toggle pockets into which toggles can be readily inserted. The toggles have toggle heads that are connected in one piece with one another, with at least one of the toggle heads having a bolt tongue. Abstract: Toggles are disclosed for toggle connections of conveyor pans of a chain scraper conveyor or conveyor troughs of a mining machine guide. In providing a toggle and a toggle connection, with which high axial forces can be transmitted while, at the same time, maintaining high angular mobility of the pans and troughs, shoulder areas of the toggle are designed so as to be spherical. Abstract: A high speed sheet feeder machine includes at least one pusher that follows a loop-shaped path of travel as the machine operates. The pusher pushes an insert into an envelope during a forward and downward part of its path of travel and then retreats rearwardly and upwardly along the loop-shaped path of travel before repeating an insertion.
