Guide Exerting Lateral Force On Nonload-supporting Belt Surface Patents (Class 198/840)
  • Patent number: 11617307
Abstract: A round baler includes a first roller and a second roller that define a gap therebetween and are arranged to position forming belts immediately adjacent to a baling chamber. A third roller is arranged to position the forming belts radially outward of the baling chamber. The forming belts move along a belt path in sequence from the first roller, to the third roller, and then to the second roller, such that the baling chamber is not bounded by the forming belts in the gap between the first roller and the second roller. A net guide is radially supported by both the first roller and the second roller and laterally positioned between an adjacent pair of the forming belts. The net guide extends across the gap to guide a net material across the gap and prevent the net material from following the forming belts away from the baling chamber.

Abstract: Various embodiments of systems and methods allow a system to identify subsets of items by mixing and matching identified features in one or more other items. A system can identify features of items in an item database. The system can then calculate “fingerprints” of these features which are vectors describing the characteristics of the features. The system can present a collection of items and a user can select an item of the collection. The user can then select positive features to include in a search and/or negative features to include in the search. The system can then do a search of the database for items that contain features similar to those positive features and do not contain features similar to those negative features. The user can select features through a variety of means.

  • Patent number: 8002108
Abstract: A tensioning apparatus for a circulating element, such as a belt or a band, has a basic body in which a first chamber is formed. A piston is positioned in the first chamber and carries a piston rod. The piston can be displaced in the first chamber by the use of a pressure fluid. Either the piston rod or the base body is attached to the carrier for the belt or band. Either the piston rod or the basic body carries a head piece which can be moved in contact with the circulating element. A locking mechanism for the piston rod can be engaged and disengaged by the use of fluid pressure.

  • Patent number: 7891483
Abstract: A device for treating foodstuffs, in which the foodstuffs are conveyed by a conveyor belt through a treatment zone, such as tunnel freezers for freezing foodstuffs. The conveyor belt is supported by a frame on which sliding rails are mounted to reduce friction. The conveyor belt is guided over these sliding rails. To prevent hygiene problems such as those occurring due to gaps formed when the sliding rails are mounted on the carrier, the sliding rails are designed as self-supporting elements. The sliding rails here are preferably simply placed on the transverse bars of the supporting frame.

  • Patent number: 7862879
Abstract: A fabric having one or more guides attached to a wear surface of the fabric so to encapsulate fifty percent or more of the fabric caliper. Advantageously, the encapsulation of the fabric by the guide, and not the chemical affinity of the materials, is the mechanism that attaches the guide and fabric. Consequently, the bond strength is equal to the tear strength of either the fabric or guide material alone.

  • Patent number: 7849902
Abstract: An apparatus for making a spunbond web has a foraminous deposition belt, a system for depositing fibers on the belt such that some of the fibers engage through the belt, and an output roller over which the belt is spanned for normally advancing an upper stretch of the belt in a transport direction toward the output roller. The output roller has a radially outwardly directed outer surface engaging the belt and formed with a profiling in turn formed by high spots contacting the belt and low spots out of contact with the belt so that fibers engaged through the belt are only pinched between the belt and the output roller at the high spots. The web is pulled downstream off the belt at the output roller.

  • Patent number: 7832549
Abstract: A curved conveyor comprises a toothed, endless belt and a slider bed that supports a portion of the belt. The slider bed can include at least one guide in the form of a rail extending along the slider bed in the direction of belt travel. Each of the belt teeth are discontinuous and have at least one gap sized to receive the at least one guide; thus, the at least one guide prevents inward radial migration of the belt during movement of the belt. The conveyor can further comprise a center guide wheel or a guide post to prevent belt radial migration.

Abstract: A belt driving apparatus is constructed so that the edge portion of a belt will not run over a stopper or be damaged. A belt is entrained about a plurality of rollers. A drive source is coupled to at least one of the plurality of rollers. The drive source drives the at least one of the plurality of rollers in rotation. A restriction member is provided in the vicinity of at least one longitudinal end portion of at least one of the plurality of rollers. The restriction member prevents the belt from moving outwardly in a longitudinal direction of the at least one of the plurality of rollers and preventing the belt from moving outwardly in a radial direction of the at least one of the plurality of rollers.
