Abstract: Baseball caps to be worn on a person's head are provided. According to one embodiment, a baseball cap includes a dome configured to be placed on the wearer's head, wherein the dome includes one or more panels and one or more cooling channels. The baseball cap also includes a hub positioned at a top of the dome. The hub comprises a central cavity and one or more conduits in gaseous communication with the one or more cooling channels of the dome. A coolant output port is provided in gaseous communication with the central cavity of the hub. The coolant output port is configured to supply a coolant gas to the one or more cooling channels of the dome via the central cavity of the hub.

Abstract: A ventilated helmet is provided. The helmet includes a shell defining a cavity, the shell having a front section provided with an opening to allow the wearer to see. The helmet also includes a transparent shield adapted having an inner surface and being adapted to substantially close the opening. Finally, the helmet includes a ventilation system having an evacuation subsystem adapted to create an evacuation airflow to evacuate humid air within the cavity to a surrounding environment. The face shield covers the user's face when the actuators are actuated into a first condition. The face shield exposes the user's face when the actuators are actuated into a second condition. Moreover, the face shield is comprised of a fluid impermeable material to inhibit airborne transmission of infectious diseases between the user and another person. A pair of motion sensors is each coupled to a respective one of the actuators. The actuators are actuated into the first condition when the motion sensors sense motion to cover the user's face when the person approaches the user. Additionally, the actuators are actuated into the second condition when the motion sensors do not sense motion.

The present invention comprises: a holding hole formed in a brim protruding forward from and connected to the cap of a hat; and a gaze-holding member which is fitted in the holding hole, so as to allow the direction of a user's gaze to coincide with a ball and thus enable the user to perform a follow-through action while gazing at the ball until the moment of impact.

Abstract: A protective helmet including a visor attached to the external sides of the helmet shell. The shell includes substantially flat mount surfaces on each side which correspond with substantially flat portions on the respective ends of the visor. A fastener hole on the shell aligns with an access hole on the visor so that the two elements can be releasably fastened. The access hole provides space for a fastener to protrude out from the surface of the shell, allowing the visor to sit flush against the shell when fastened together. The helmet may include chin straps which are attached to the inner surface of the shell. The helmet may also include a catch strip on the front of the visor which protrudes from the visor such that it can prevent a cloth helmet cover (sometimes used in games such as Roller Derby) from easily sliding off the helmet.

Abstract: A rain guard for headwear is configured to removably attach to a leading edge of a brim for the headwear. The rain guard creates a channel for collected water on the brim of the headwear to be diverted to either side of the headwear as opposed to directly in front of a wearer's line of vision.

Abstract: A pivoting shield assembly for hats is revealed. The pivoting shield assembly includes mounting slots arranged at two sides of a hat, a pivot base mounted to each mounting slot, a first connecting rod and a second connecting rod each of which having one end pivotally connected to the pivot base and the other end pivotally mounted to a shield, and a pathway groove disposed on an inner side of the first connecting rod. The pivot base includes an elastic locking piece which is mounted and moveable in the pathway groove correspondingly. Thereby lifting up and pulling down of the shield are more precise and having different stages. The pivoting shield assembly for hats is practical.

Abstract: A protective shield for use with headgear includes a unitary panel having a protective portion including opposing first and surfaces The unitary panel additionally includes at least one lateral tab connectable to the headgear. The protective portion is sized to extend over the face of a user when the at least one lateral tab is connected to the headgear and the headgear is worn on the user's head. The unitary panel is selectively connectable to the headgear in at least one of a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration, the at least one lateral tab is connected to the headgear such that the first surface assumes a convex configuration and faces away from the user. In the second configuration, the at least one lateral tab is connected to the headgear such that the first surface assumes a concave configuration and faces toward from the user.

The brim apparatus includes a center section having a size for fitting about a circumference of the sports helmet and a visor outwardly or radially extending from the center section. In one brim apparatus the center section features a stop surface that opposes an upper surface of the visor when the apparatus is affixed to the headgear such that the visor is prohibited from flipping upwards or sliding down or coming off during use.

Abstract: Disclosed here is an extended use mask hat. The principal components are a hat member, a mask member and an attachment means. Under conditions where there is no desire for protection, the mask member can be easily stored against the interior surface of the hat member. When there is a desire for protection, the mask member can be easily and quickly donned. The service period of the mask hat is extendable by washing. Several technological problems are overcome, including, individual and community protection from the airborne spread of infectious disease in a manner that is effective, not noxious to human sensibility and not overly bearing.

Abstract: Systems and methods of a safety helmet for protecting the human head against repetitive impacts, moderate impacts and severe impacts so as to significantly reduce the likelihood of both translational and rotational brain injury and concussions can be provided. The helmet can include an outer shell, an omnidirectional liner disposed within and coupled to the outer shell and configured to move relative to the outer shell, and a chinstrap coupled to the omnidirectional liner. The chinstrap coupled to the omnidirectional liner can hold a wearer's head to the omnidirectional liner and prevent the chinstrap from applying forces to the wearer while omnidirectional liner moves relative to outer shell. Other embodiments may include a chinguard with a movable chincup.

A sweatband extends along at least a portion of an inner edge of the head receiving portion of the crown. A brim or visor extends outwardly from a lower edge of the crown adjacent the sweatband. A plurality of vent channels through the brim permit and encourage passage of air from above the brim, through the brim, toward the sweatband and toward a forehead of the user.

Abstract: A face protector for reducing the transmission of pathogens (including but not limited to viruses such as COVID-19) between individuals, along with methods of making and using the same, are generally provided herein. More specifically embodiments of face protectors that are configured to be supported by the bill of a hat, visor, or other headgear are disclosed, wherein the face protector provides a physical barrier separating the wearer's face from the environment. Embodiments include side panels to provide additional protection and/or wings to provide additional support. Fasteners may be used with embodiments to secure the face protector to the brim or headgear. Radiation (such as ultraviolet light) may be used to sanitize air as it moves past the edge of the face protector. An embodiment includes a projection configured to cover the bill of the headgear.

Abstract: A brim shade has a shade element, a clip, and a hinge that joins the shade element and the clip to make the brim shade. The shade element and the hinge combine to create a shade that does not allow the light to get past the brim shade. The brim shade can be adjusted through 360 degree rotation and along the side of a hat to provide protection to the wearer.

Abstract: A safety hat assembly for enhancing safety and comfort of a user includes a hat that is selectively sizable to a head of a user and which has a brim coupled thereto. The hat is positionable on the head of the user with the brim extending over a forehead of the user. A pair of safety glasses is slidably engaged to the hat and is selectively positionable in a stowed configuration within the hat and a deployed configuration to protect eyes of the user. An earplug is engaged to and selectively extendible from the hat to allow insertion into a respective ear canal of the user to protect hearing of the user. A set of pads is engaged to and positioned within the hat to cushion the head of the user.

The face shield may also include a snap-on strip that is releasably connectable to a substantially transparent sheet of material forming the face shield and the snap-on strip may be configured to impart a shape to the substantially transparent sheet of material when connected thereto.

Abstract: A hat with a replaceable paracord chinstrap. A hat is provided that includes a removably attached paracord chinstrap. A chinstrap adjustment piece is attached to the hat and may be used to adjust the tightness around a wearer's chin. A protective portion is connected to the suspension strap portion and is configured to extend over the user's eyes, nose, and mouth when the protective shield is attached to the headwear. The assembly comprises a resilient support band that is employed to secure a head-mounted display unit to a piece of casual headwear worn by a user. The head mounted display mounting assembly can be supported by pre-existing structures (e.g., sweat band) of a piece of casual headwear, and further supported and/or secured to temple regions of the casual headwear. Once seated within and secured to the piece of casual headwear, the head-mounted display unit can be secured to the head mounted display mounting assembly, providing a comfortable and integrated wearable experience for the user.

The open slot receives the bill of the ball cap.

Furthermore, the attachment mechanism includes a slot defined in and along the edge of the shell, with the slot corresponding with the central opening defined in the brim, such that the slot is configured to receive a projection extending from the accessory.
