  • Patent number: 8650662
Abstract: A method and apparatus for supplying a variety of stylish sleeves for wear with sleeveless outfits. A bust band circles the rib cage and the back with either front or back closure. A pair of shoulder straps are attached to the bust band. Stylish lace, sheer or other sleeves are sewed or otherwise attached to the shoulder straps and/or bust band. The band generally runs around the front chest just under the bra and around the back at the approximate vertical location of the rear part of the bra. The sleeves are typically sewed onto the shoulder straps and/or bust band; however, it is within the scope of the present invention to use removable sleeves with various fastening techniques. In the preferred embodiment, small silicone strips are attached to the interior of the shoulder straps that allow the sleeves to adhere to the shoulder and not slip down.

Abstract: The invention relates to a reinforcement element for a glove, especially for a goal keeper's glove, which is designed to allow a bending in a first bending direction and to prevent a bending in a second bending direction which is contrariwise to the first bending direction. To prevent reliably that the joints of the fingers are subjected to high forces during fisting of a ball, the invention is characterized in that the reinforcement element comprises two bending elements which extend in a longitudinal direction of a finger, which bending elements comprise a number of blocking elements for the prevention of a bending in the second bending direction, wherein the two bending elements run during regular use laterally beside the finger which is to be protected, wherein the two bending elements are connected to another by at least two connecting bridges. Furthermore, the invention relates to a glove, especially to a goal keeper's glove with such a reinforcing element.

  • Patent number: 8646115
Abstract: In various embodiments, a glove enables one wearing the glove temporary unsheathed use of one or more of a thumb and an index finger of a hand of the wearer on which the glove is worn. A slide fastener may run along the glove between a distal portion of the glove's index finger-covering portion and a distal portion of the glove's thumb-covering portion. The slide fastener, when opened over a particular amount, provides an opening in the glove to enable the wearer to extend one or more of the wearer's thumb and index finger outside the glove for temporary unsheathed use of the thumb and/or index finger. When the slide is fastener closed, this causes the glove to cover the thumb and index finger.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for supporting an arm of a user that includes a harness configured to be worn by the user, and an arm support coupled to the harness and including an arm rest to support an arm of the user. The arm support is configured to accommodate and follow movement of the arm without substantially interfering in such movement. The arm support may at least partially offset a gravitational force acting on the arm as the user moves and the arm support follows the movement of the user's arm. For example, the arm support may transfer at least a portion of the weight of the user's arm to the torso or other region of the user's body and/or may apply an opposing force to at least partially offset the gravitational force acting on the arm.
