During use, the front surface is exposed to the outside and the back surface is hidden on a body side. The first body has projecting portions that project laterally, and each of the projecting portions is provided with a boundary connecting portion that is connected to a back surface of the second body.

Abstract: A posture and movement training garment 100 comprises at least one elastic element arranged to be stretched upon movement of the wearer's trunk and/or at least one of the wearer's limbs away from a predetermined rest or neutral position, thereby to provide the wearer with gentle elastic recoil sufficient to provide the wearer with additional kinaesthetic and/or touch feedback resulting from the movement, substantially without inhibiting the movement. A complementary sports training or physiotherapy garment comprises a fabric base and pockets for the reception of weights, the garment further comprising strips of relatively inextensible material forming a network interconnecting the base material within the pockets, in which the majority of the strips run generally longitudinally of the wearer's limbs and torso and form a branched network with bases mainly originating at the wearer's shoulders and/or hips; and wherein the network does not completely encircle the wearer's limbs and torso.

Abstract: A medicinal pair of underwear is configured to reduce pressure exerted against a women's body to reduce or remove pain caused by underwear due to nerve pain in the abdomen, thigh, genital area, or hip crease. The underwear includes a front waistband that is connected to a front portion of the underwear via stitching, and a rear waistband that is connected to the rear waistband via stitching. The stitching for the front and rear waistbands do not engage, that is, there is a gap present between the stitching for the rear waistband and the front waistband to reduce the amount of pressure exerted while the medicinal underwear is worn. The collective structural features provide a loose-fitting medicinal pair of underwear that, when worn, stays in place and can be utilized by women who are experiencing nerve pain around the genital and thigh areas.

Abstract: An athletic garment for protecting genitals of a user includes shorts having a pair of leg receiving portions and a flap defining a pocket centered in a groin region. The pocket extends in front of a portion of each of the leg receiving portions. A protective shield is disposed within the pocket and includes an arch portion and left and right wings extending laterally outward from opposing sides of the arch portion. The left wing extends over a portion of one of the leg receiving portions and the right wing extends over a portion of the other of the leg receiving portions.

The envelope pocket may be comprised of a compression material that may secure stored objects in place. In one embodiment, an envelope pocket may be opened from the bottom and disposed along the rear, upper portion of the garment. The pocket opening may be positioned such that an athlete may reach around his or her back and quickly and ergonomically insert and retrieve balls from the pocket. The envelope pocket may be constructed such that the stored objects and balls do not impede an athlete's movement during athletic activity.

The fabric sheet may be elongated and folded in face-to-face portions attached to the card. A hook and loop patch may support an object on the fabric sheet. A holder for a spare golf tee or pencil is provided, as is a retainer for a scorecard. The fabric sheet may be inserted into the pocket or may form the pocket body itself. The fabric sheet may also be used without the pocket, attached directly to the interior of a garment. A double sided snap may be used to mount a ball marker to the fabric sheet.

Abstract: A post-surgical garment comprises a wrap-around material with pouches for comfortable placement of surgical drains. The garment provides a wrap around piece designed to keep the post-surgical drains and the tubing of the drains secure while showering, sponge bathing or during daily activities. A post-surgical drain is slipped through an opening on the side of the garment and any attached tubing is fed through. The post-surgical drain and excess tubing is placed in a pouch. Flaps are securely closed to cover the opening. The garment is then closed in the front with a secure closure.

Abstract: A functional resistance exercise apparatus includes a glove for a user's hand. At least one loop is securely disposed or formed on the glove, and a resistive element is attachable to the loop which generates force in opposition to the user's movement of the hand wearing the glove in substantially any direction. The resistive element is preferably an elastic band securable at one end to the loop and at the other end to a fixed point, or a cable attached to a weight. The apparatus preferably also includes a vest having at least one loop attached thereto. The band is attachable at one end to the glove and at the other end to the vest. Both the glove and the vest preferably have reinforced portions upon which their respective loops are attached to prevent stretching or tearing of the glove or vest.

Abstract: The invention provides a lower body garment comprising an interior layer comprising an elastic material to be worn around a wearer's leg, an outer shell, and a tunnel pocket system positioned between the outer shell and interior layer. The tunnel pocket system defines a tunnel extending from the exterior pocket of the outer shell and terminating in an interior pocket positioned in or on the elastic material of the interior layer. In use, the wearer can access the interior pocket through the exterior pocket. The elastic material of the interior layer facilitates retention of items stored in the pocket against the wearer's leg, thereby reducing movement of items when the wearer moves. Retention of items stored in the pocket against the wearer's leg can be further enhanced by providing that the pocket be of elastic material.

Abstract: An adjustable bathing suit including a channel extending through the length of a waistband. An adjustable band is received within at least a portion of the channel and is attached to the bathing suit. Preferably, the adjustable band extends around the front of the hips around a majority of the waistband. The adjustable band includes a plurality of openings for receiving a button attached to the bathing suit. The button can be located at the rear of the bathing suit. An opening in the waistband is provided in the location of the button to provide access to the adjustable band contained within the channel. A flap attached to an upper portion of the waistband extends over the opening of the waistband for closing the opening. The flap can include a self-gripping material and a self-gripping material can be positioned under the flap for providing secure closure of the flap.

Additionally, the strand segments may lay substantially parallel to surfaces of the first layer and the second layer for distances of at least five centimeters. In some configurations, the strand segments may be bonded to the first layer and the second layer along the distances of at least five centimeters.

Abstract: A men's swimsuit that includes an outer shell having an outer-shell waistband; and an inner liner that defines an interior lumen. The inner liner includes an inner-liner waistband attached to the outer-shell waistband; and a pair of inner-liner leg sleeves extending from the inner-liner waistband. Each inner-liner leg sleeve terminates in a hem configured to exert a radially compressive force urging the hem against a thigh passing therethrough. As a result, the hems of the inner-liner leg sleeves, in cooperation with the inner-liner waistband, prevent particulate matter from reaching the interior lumen of the inner liner.

Abstract: A medical undergarment system effective for supporting an ostomy system consists of a first diagonal catheter channel, a second diagonal catheter channel, a first vertical catheter channel, and a second vertical catheter channel. The system consists of tubing, a base undergarment, and a fluid bag. The medical undergarment system provides a comfortable yet stable ostomy system that can easily be slipped on and off by a user. The system enables convenient and easy removal of bodily fluid when using a catheter.

Abstract: An adjustable bathing suit including a channel extending through the length of a waistband. An adjustable band is received within at least a portion of the channel and is attached to the bathing suit. Preferably, the adjustable band extends around the front of the hips around a majority of the waistband. The adjustable band includes a plurality of openings for receiving a button attached to the bathing suit. The button can be located at the rear of the bathing suit. An opening in the waistband is provided in the location of the button to provide access to the adjustable band contained within the channel. A flap attached to an upper portion of the waistband extends over the opening of the waistband for closing the opening. The flap can include a self-gripping material and a self-gripping material can be positioned under the flap for providing secure closure of the flap.

Abstract: In one embodiment, the present invention provides a jock support short including a short member and an integrally-formed jock support member. The integral jock support member includes a pocket portion attached to a front portion of the short, which is configured to house a protective groin cup. At least two elongate members extend along opposing sides of the pocket portion and may intersect or meet at a crotch portion of the short such that the pocket and/or protective cup remains secured over a user's groin region during athletic or other physical activity.

Abstract: An elongated crotch section is combined with seam construction to provide comfort to the wearer. Two front pieces and two back pieces are formed into or stitched to a waist band. A two piece center section forming a crotch of the boxer is without multiple seams. Seams are only on the sides and a single horizontal seam connects the two pieces of the crotch portion. The two piece crotch component forms an elongated pouch to hold the male genitalia. There is no junction of multiple seams at the groin or inseam.

The second textile is located around a waistband portion of the apparel, and the second textile exhibits less than ten percent stretch prior to tensile failure.

Abstract: A boxer-style pant and methods of making a boxer-style pant having side seams and hanging legs. At least a portion of each of the hanging legs may be non-planar in an uncontracted state prior to formation of the side seams. The methods each involve providing at least one web. In some methods, a crotch panel is bonded to first and second regions of the web between two leg openings, and a distance between bonded regions of upper and lower edges of the crotch panel, measured parallel to a longitudinal axis of the pant, is shorter along a central region of the crotch panel and longer in distal regions of the crotch panel, such that the bonded region results in a bow-tie-shaped crotch panel. In some methods, a crotch region of the web is folded and stabilized along a longitudinal centerline of the web. In some methods, leg extensions are attached to at least a portion of each of two leg openings. Front and back regions may be joined together to form the side seams.

Abstract: A multi-sectional waistband quick release undergarment is provided. The multi-sectional waistband quick release undergarment includes a multi-sectional waistband having a first waistband section and a second waistband section for securing the undergarment to a wearer's body. An undergarment body includes a front panel and a rear panel, which are joined to the first waistband section and the second waistband section, respectively. At least a portion of the first waistband section is releasably secured to at least a portion of the second waistband section, and at least a portion of the front panel is releasably secured to at least a portion of the rear panel. When a predetermined breakaway force is exerted on the second waistband section, the second waistband section releases from the first waistband section and the rear panel releases from the front panel; and thereby provides effective protection against wedgies.

Abstract: The invention prevents leg chafing, and keeps the garment from riding up in the wearer's crotch area, by disposing weights on the garment. If the garment is an undergarment, then Modal® fabric, a bio-based fiber made by spinning reconstituted cellulose from beech trees, is especially preferred, as it is extremely soft, and wicks away moisture in an effective manner. It is an object of the invention to reduce leg chafing. It is a further object of the invention to teach a method of preventing garments from riding up into the wearer's crotch area.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a garment (such as a short, shirt, pants and other garments) having a stretchable section preferably of neoprene, that provides for improved comfort and wearability. The other panels or fabric portions of the garment may be constructed of a relatively less stretchable or even a relatively inelastic material, and the stretchable portion is positioned in an “area of flex” of the garment (so that the stretchable portion can “stretch” when the wearer rotates limbs extending into the garment). Related methods are disclosed for garment fabrication and the like.

For said purpose, each of the rear sections of the garment is equipped with: a plurality of built-in clips which extend approximately from the centre of a reinforcing line close to the upper edge of the garment towards the centre of the corresponding buttock; and a plurality of built-in clips which extend from the seam between the rear section and the respective front section, which are disposed in line with the gluteal region and which extend towards the centre of the corresponding buttock.

Abstract: An over garment body armor in the form of shorts or long pants that are wearable over conventional clothing. The over garment body has two or more front leg pockets and at least one back pocket. The front leg pockets cover the femoral artery paths on the leg and the back pocket covers the lower portion of the spine. Ballistic protection pads are inserted into the pockets to protect the wear from bullets and projectiles.

Abstract: Mascot type storage shorts that are compact at time of carrying, enable sanitary storage, and have excellent fashionability include a mascot-shaped body which is sewn or otherwise attached to any one of the front panel, rear panel or waist portion of a shorts main body, and the shorts main body can be stored through a storage port provided on the rear surface of the mascot-shaped body. The mascot-shaped body is produced as a mascot in the shape of a doll, flower, animal or other motif, and in consideration of convenience at time of carrying, a locking mechanism enables the mascot type storage shorts to be hung from a key holder or the like.

The absorbent assembly is releasably attached generally at front and back waist regions thereof to the waist belt. The garment shell is attached generally at front and back waist regions thereof to the waist belt, with the absorbent assembly generally disposed within the garment shell, whereby the front waist region of the garment shell is in opposed relationship with the front waist region of the absorbent assembly and the back waist region of the garment shell is in opposed relationship with the back waist region of the absorbent assembly.

The belt portion has a front portion, a back portion, a top portion, a bottom portion and an inner surface. The compression pants portion secured to the belt is configured to provide support for the wearer's pelvis, legs, and groin area. The inner surface of the belt has one or more pack support portions with slots for receiving one or more gel packs so as to maintain contact between the gel packs and the wearer's back. Slots in the belt portion may accommodate vertically extending inserts of rigid plastic to reinforce the belt portion over the lumbar region of the wearer.

Abstract: A pair of men s shorts, including under shorts, has a typical chassis with an abdomen opening, a right pant leg and a left pant leg. The user's genitals pass through an opening on the front of the chassis whenever the shorts are being worn. A hammock overlies the opening and is anchored to the chassis at two points on the right out seam, one point below the other, and two points on the left out seam, symmetrical with the right out seam attachment. The hammock is also attached to the chassis at the waist band and at the lower edge of the opening just above the left and right inseam joinder area. The hammock by being anchored at the out seams and being non-stretching in a transverse direction, acts as a sling in supporting the genitals of the user.

Abstract: Athletic Shorts are a tight fitted running shorts that improve the performance of running or walking by utilizing gravity as a source of energy. The shorts have elastic straps attached from the waist and extend across the front side of the leg to the bottom near the leg opening of the shorts. When standing straight up the elastic is elongated by the weight of the leg. The elongated elastic provides a pulling energy for the leg by contracting when moving up in a step of a walk or stride of a run. When the step or stride is lowered back to the ground the elastic is again elongated by the weight of the leg. The repeated action of the contraction and elongation of the elastic straps provide increased performance when walking or running. Leg Adjustment Straps around the bottom of the shorts are used to draw the shorts tight to the leg.
