Abstract: Catalyst suitable for the oxidation of CH.sub.3 OH to CH.sub.2 O, comprising a mixture of a well known catalytic system, herein indicated as mixed oxides, based on FE.sub.2 (MoO.sub.4).sub.3 molybdenum trioxide (MoO.sub.3) with non-sintered of Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3 from 5 to 90% by weight of the sum of Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3 + mixed oxides, the surface area of the Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3 being from 1 to 10 m.sup.2 /g and the superficial area of the whole catalyst being from 1 to 6 m.sup.2 /g.

Abstract: A belt for supporting trousers has a lower adjustable supporting strap. Stiff members are attached to the waistband of the trousers. Supporting arms are rotatably coupled to the stiffened members and the supporting strap. When the trousers are worn, the weight is partially supported in the small of the wearer's back and partially on the wearer's hips by force transmitted through the support members.
Abstract: An adjustable two part belt with locking means comprises elongated belt members which overlap each other and transverse members connected to the ends of the overlapping portions of the belt members and at least partially encircling the corresponding portions of the belt members. At least one of the transverse members includes a clamp means in the form of a metallic strip which encircles at least a portion of the overlapping belt members and which is bendable to clamp the overlapping portions of the belt members against each other to maintain the length adjustment of the belt. The metallic strip means is preferably in a C-shape.
Abstract: A body strap component of equestrian harness or saddlery equipment, such as a girth, surcingle or roller, is disclosed which comprises an elongate tubular webbing sheath formed of woven yarn composed of staple fibers of a polyester synthetic polymer material. The webbing sheath is filled by an insert filling composed of a strip of porous foam expanded plastics material. The ends of the sheath are sealed and are provided with relatively short end straps carrying buckle fastening fittings. Adjacent the end straps, a longitudinally-extending reinforcing band is secured to the sheath and has an elasticity less than the elasticity of the sheath material.
