  • Patent number: 5226179
Abstract: Male underwear briefs provides for the separate receptions of the scrotum and the phallus of the wearer in respective separate receptacle means to maintain the groin area dry and clean, thereby preventing various diseases including moist tetter. The briefs of the present invention have a separate scrotum nest made of a net material for resting the scrotum in a non-contact position with the rest of the wearer's body, with a good circulation of air there around, and has a phallus receptacle receiving the phallus in an upright posture and an elastic element fixed inside the phallus receptacle for holding the inserted phallus in an upright position so that the phallus is prevented from contact with adjacent skin areas. This separate receptions of scrotum and phallus prevents the skin to skin contact of the wearer and the net of the scrotum nest improves the circulation of air, thereby preventing an undue moistening of the groin and thus the various diseases arising therefrom.

  • Patent number: 4870958
Abstract: An undergarment is provided for wear by men during work or recreation activities in the style of a pair of boxer type shorts. A partitioning liner is secured at the inside of the shorts and includes a cup portion adjacent to the front of the shorts. The cup portion is slotted or open in the front to form first and second partitions for positioning in the clefts on either side of the groin of the wearer to prevent chafing. A first panel of gusset secures the first partition to a first location on one side of the front of the shorts. A second panel or gusset secures the second partition to a second location on the other side of the front of the shorts spaced from the first location. A third panel secures the bottom of the liner to the crotch of the shorts. The independent suspension or coupling of the partitioning liner assures that the partitions remain securely in place without riding up and down with the shorts.

  • Patent number: 4811427
Abstract: An athletic garment particularly suitable for hockey players protects the genital area of the wearer. The garment comprises a waistband which is supported at the wearer's waist elastically and with a drawstring. An inner pant and an outer pant are attached the waistband. The inner pant has a rise so selected that its crotch portion engages and supports the genital area of the wearer. The outer pant has a pocket adjacent its crotch portion which receives a genital protector. The pocket is positioned to overlay the genital area when the waistband is maintained at the wearer's waist thereby ensuring proper protection. The outer pant has a larger rise than the inner pant so that the pocket is normally spaced from the wearer's genital area, providing greater comfort and enhanced freedom of movement. Hook-type Velcro.TM. fasteners are positioned on the front and back of each pant leg associated with the outer pant and serve to support hockey stockings.

  • Patent number: 4327448
Abstract: A technique for converting flexible sheeting formed of non-woven thermoplastic material into disposal apparel shorts. The sheeting is die cut to yield identical blanks of generally rectangular form whose lower section has a pair of crotch tabs extending therefrom in opposite directions. The side margins of two superposed blanks are ultrasonically welded together to define a tube whose upper margin constitutes the waist of the shorts. Then the tabs of each blank are ultrasonically welded together at their ends to complete the crotch and define a pair of leg openings. Finally, an elastic band of thermoplastic material is ultrasonically welded in its stretched state to the inner circle of the waist to create a puckered waist which is expandable to conform to the waist size of the wearer.
