  • Patent number: 5630232
Abstract: Drawers or briefs made from a knitted tube flattened to provide a front panel and a rear panel with a top waist opening and a pair of bottom leg openings. The front panel has a linear fly opening having a pair of fabric fly flaps coextensive in length with the fly opening. The flaps overlap each other and the front panel on the interior of the garment at one side of the fly opening, providing a triple layer of fabric along the full length of the fly opening. The layers are sewn together by two lines of stitching extending along the tops and bottoms of said flaps, leaving a free edge on each flap remote from said fly opening. The flaps form a transversely open tunnel extending from the fly opening to the free edges of said flaps, and a pocket closed at the fly opening.

  • Patent number: 5461729
Abstract: The invention relates to a male undergarment brief which through simple construction forms a defined genital pouch and a secured leg opening edge. The brief includes front and rear panels. The front panel comprises two knitted cotton panels having identical shapes which are obversely stitched together thereby forming overlapping fly openings. The two knitted panels provide for a pair of concave lower edges which make up a portion of the leg openings. The concave edges are provided with elastic strips which in their unstretched condition are approximately 2/3 the length of the concave edges. The elastic strips are each stretched to the length of the concave edges and then secured thereto. With the contraction of the elastic strips, a shirring takes place on the panels forming a genital pouch and secure leg openings.

  • Patent number: 5226179
Abstract: Male underwear briefs provides for the separate receptions of the scrotum and the phallus of the wearer in respective separate receptacle means to maintain the groin area dry and clean, thereby preventing various diseases including moist tetter. The briefs of the present invention have a separate scrotum nest made of a net material for resting the scrotum in a non-contact position with the rest of the wearer's body, with a good circulation of air there around, and has a phallus receptacle receiving the phallus in an upright posture and an elastic element fixed inside the phallus receptacle for holding the inserted phallus in an upright position so that the phallus is prevented from contact with adjacent skin areas. This separate receptions of scrotum and phallus prevents the skin to skin contact of the wearer and the net of the scrotum nest improves the circulation of air, thereby preventing an undue moistening of the groin and thus the various diseases arising therefrom.
