One of the seat portion and front portion is connected to the torso portion, and the other of the front portion and seat portion has at its edges first fastening elements to selectively attach and release to assemble and disassemble the garment.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a garment which provides abdominal support, especially for pregnant women. The garment includes a panty and support straps. there are two support straps fastened to the front of the panty and from there they pass each over the shoulder of a wearer, they crisscross in the back, they each pass over the hip of a wearer and then the supporting straps are overlappingly and adjustably fastened to each other below the abdomen. This arrangement transfers the weight of the abdomen to the shoulders of the wearer and prevents the person from assuming a slouching posture. The supporting straps are knitted from elastic yarns and the knitted loops face forward, that is, away from the person. These knitted loops form one part of hook and loop fasteners. Other lateral straps each are fastened to the front of the supporting straps, they each pass through loops at a side waistline of the panty and then are fastened on the back of the supporting straps.

Further, the panel is preferably made from friction reducing material, which thereby reduces friction between the panel and each of the pantyhose segments.

The closeable opening extends only through the crotch area along the inseam of the outer garment and is only of sufficient length to permit being manually spread open by the wearer to facilitate urination from either a standing position or while seated on a toilet. When worn, an improved undergarment worn by the wearer beneath the outer garment is also provided which includes a similarly positioned and sized closeable opening positioned in alignment with the closeable opening of the outer garment.

The protective flap has a tubular sleeve at is free end through which a waist belt may be drawn. A locking mechanism secured to the pants locks the waist belt snugly against the narrowed waist.

The flap includes a relatively narrow strip portion adapted to extend along the crotch area of the infant's body, and a relatively wide triangular portion adapted to extend across the infant's abdomen. Fastener assemblies are provided at the upper corner extremities of the flap for releasably securing the flap to the lower front edge of the swimsuit main section. The fastener assemblies can be disconnected (or detached) for unfolding the flap to expose the infant's diaper for diaper-changing purposes.

Abstract: A pants for aiding and preventing injury to the hip and upper femur. The pants are made from resilient material having body cushioning properties and four pockets. The pockets are positioned with a pocket on each side of the back and one adjacent hips on each side. Pockets are positioned to cover the hips and upper femur area of the wearer. A pair of rigid pads are placed within the pockets on each side of the back and a second pair of rigid pads are provided for placement within the pockets on each side adjacent to the hip. The pockets located on the back are fitted with reenforcements such as plastic spaced apart and running horizontally therein to allow for flexibility of movement about a horizontal axis. Pads on the side of the hip are fitted with reenforcement means spaced apart and running vertically to allow for flexibility and movement about a vertical axis.

In the preferred embodiment, the lower portion of a swimsuit includes a pocket in the crotch region and a slit on the interior wall of the crotch for providing access to the pocket. In an alternate embodiment, the swimsuit includes a region of hook or loop fasteners disposed on the interior wall of the crotch region. In the preferred embodiment, a deflector which comprises outer layers of a soft, resilient material and a thin inner layer of more rigid, fluid impervious material is placed either in the pocket or secured by complementary hook and loop fasteners. An alternate embodiment comprehends a generally hourglass shaped sponge which is fabricated of open or preferably closed cell foam and which is placed in the pocket or includes complementary hook and loop fasteners for securing to the crotch region of the swimsuit.

The garment provides at least one supporting band of material to be worn around the female body and provides access on-demand to the vulva of the person. The garment also provides at least one extensible member for positioning and securing the radiotherapeutic appliance such that the appliance is maintained in position and secured against movement during the radiation therapy.

Abstract: An elastic garment stretched from the wearer's shoulders to the legs and encircling the wearer's legs with leg portions and having a crotch section covering the wearer's crotch and having a posterior opening which is covered by a posterior cover formed by an extension section which is attached to a waistband and extends from the waistband to the leg portions and the crotch section. To perform bodily functions, the wearer pushes the waistband downward which displaces the posterior cover thereby exposing the wearer's posterior through the posterior opening and displaces the crotch section to expose other private parts which are further exposed when the wearer assumes a sitting position. The garment remains stretched between the wearer's shoulders and legs and is easily returned to a normal wearing position upon standing and repositioning of the waistband to the wearer's waist.

An elasticized slit opening on the inner panel of this pouch is thereby positioned adjacent to the individual's anus and permits the admission of fecal material directly into the pouch.

Abstract: A cold therapy panty is provided which includes a front portion and a back portion with a crotch area formed therebetween. A receptacle is located adjacent the crotch area of the panty and extends along the crotch area. An absorbent pad for absorbing bodily fluids and a cold pack for applying cold therapy to the crotch of the wearer are inserted into the receptacle. Alternatively, the absorbent pad may be attached to the inner side of the panty to avoid soiling the pouch and panty. These free edges may be parted manually by the wearer preferably from the rear of the garment to form the desired crotch opening.

Abstract: The invention is a therapeutic body suit designed to produce therapeutic pressure on the abdominal and lower abdominal body areas as an aid to healing after certain types of surgery including: liposuction abdominal plasty; hysterectomy; cesarean section; mastectomy and breast surgery; and hernia. This invention may be utilized on women and men. The invention consists of three major components. The first component is a body suit designed to provide theraputic pressure. The second component is an elastic binding surrounding the body suit with detachable and adjustable ends designed to enhance the therapeutic pressure of the body suit. The third component is a breathing elastic crotch therapeutically supporting binding attached in a removable manner to the second component.
